Hello, welcome to my channel. Here I post gaming videos, primarily Halo Lore and entertainment videos but sometimes videos from other games as well. The channel is composed of 2 members, Jack and Josh.
The more I play, think about this level, and read the book's excellent writing, the more I think that the Flood was deliberately f***ing with the Master Chief in this level. Watching the super-soldier from a distance and allowing him to get further into the facility in order to overpower him. That and the door suddenly and conveniently locking itself back, trapping him inside. And while John-117 is still mostly stoic and silent like he is in the game(s), a seasoned warrior, he isn't a robot without fear. As he immediately felt something was "off" ever since he landed and constantly felt like someone or *something* was burning holes in the back of his head.
Aw what and here i was always keeping the mariens alive in every level always restarting a checkpoint and moving faster to keep them all alive till the end of the level
The first bomb was actually doing Arbiter and Half-Jaw a favor, the bigshots there wanted to continue fighting humanity as opposed to focus on Truth and Gravemind.
Even the most badass characters in the game won't mess with the Flood. "Relax! I'd rather not piss this thing [Flood Gravemind] off." -Master Chief "You were right to focus your attentions on the Flood." - Prophet of Truth "The parasite is not to be trifled with. I hope you know what you're doing." - Rtas Vaduum, Half-Jaw "I told you, NOT to go inside. FOR GOOD REASON!" - Atriox
Master Chief, has no weapons and doesn't want to have this MASSIVE creature turn (more lol) antagonistic at the moment. Truth, knows how dangerous the parasite truly is and can ruin the Great Journey as their so close to it. Rtas, has fought the Flood before and know it should not be underestimated. Hoping the Arbiter knows the risks he's taking. Atriox, has to deal with an overconfident dumbass who just put the entire Banished, the Ark, and possibly our galaxy and *beyond* at risk. 🤣
I am really trying to find a physical version of this to read. It seems like there are some physical versions floating around, and I’d pay to own a copy. Is there any way to get one?
I feel if Chief were entirely fearless he wouldn't have much depth. In all of his training, nothing could have possibly prepared him for a nearly unstoppable parasitic enemy swarm such as The Flood.
Just realized that every time he fought the flood, cortana wasn't with him in the suit except the last 2 missions. So he was always alone and slightly hindered by not having cortana there.
Despite my love for Halo, this video was extremely boring. Please add more liveliness and energy to your narrations. (Edit) it gets more interesting but I would recommend adding liveliness to the introduction because if not for the topic I would have clicked off
I appreciate the feedback however every other bit of feedback I've had had been positive about my lore videos, and although I'm not writing at the moment I'm sticking with the style for future videos as it's what people seem to like. One was even mentioned on canon fodder about a year ago. And as this story comes entirely from a book it's the reason I added the soundscape to add some atmosphere. Sorry if this style of video isn't for you but it's what I do 🤷
The flood definately could've swarmed chief in the swamp but they only stalked him, you could say he was lured in because you could see the unknown yellow dots and some flood running away from chief in the first swamp area
The flood could’ve gotten the knowledge from the Marines about the Master Chief and could’ve known that eventually, Chief would’ve gone to look for them because the signal was lost, they probably waited for him to arrive in hopes of infecting Chief and get his knowledge.
The flood lure more prey in by leaving bodies dotted around like breadcrumbs, so that other people go in to follow the trail to try and find out what the hell happened and to see if anyone's survived. It tricks them into thinking there might be survivors who need rescuing. It's the tactics of a predator and we are their prey, taking advantage of our nature as social creatures to care for each other's wellbeing. They even leave a few alive that need rescuing to further draw more in, both humans and covenant. Humans use the same tactic when hunting animals and it's even scarier when we are the animal being hunted in this way.
I’m surprised people aren’t trying to ports all of fnv’s workbenches, ammo benches, weapon models and animations to fallout 3 so the sights didn’t have to be custom made only for most gun I assume some sights were already made like the assault rifle and Chinese rifle but Bethesda was just lazy to create ads I’m surprised no one tries porting every single mod that makes fallout new Vegas amazing to fallout 3 but I don’t know if that’s possible just throwing out suggestions
Yeah I'd be scared too if I had to fight zombies alone without my ultrAIbabe brain girlfriend. Jokes aside though, it would have been one of the first times without Cortana with him in a while. Not only does this leave him alone, but I believe it left him at reduced performance when encountering a new, fearsome threat.
They both have their charms, and they complimented each other. Shame they never any more mainline games after Reach (or 4, if you’re so inclined), but HW2 was dope!
