Halo Reach - Pelican and Phantom Easter Egg - We're Gonna Need a Bigger Ship Achievement Guide 

I found a fairly easy way to do this solo. Basically, you can park the falcon on a roof and and hijack a banshee. It might take a few tries. Then, once you have the banshee, you can fly over to where the switch is and wedge the banshee in the back left corner of the ledges so it won't fall. Then just exit the banshee, making sure to use your jet pack to land safely on the ledge, hit the button, and jump back in the banshee and fly through the ring. Once you have the phantom, simply fly back over to where you parked your falcon and fly it through and you should get the achievement.

I remember when I first did the easter egg on the 360. Experienced one of the best gamer highs ever from it and was in a state of bliss for a solid ten minutes.

I remember somehow getting into a banshee on solo and doing this, it was one of the best Easter eggs of reach

Def possible to get in solo. There's a great tutorial online to do so and it just worked for me. You can land the Falcon a certain way along the ledges of the building, to make it stay and be able to hit the switch and jump back in. As for getting the banshee, there's a small building in the middle of the rail track (in front of the arch building you need to go through to switch to Pelican and Phantom). Anyway, if you get on top of this small building that's in the middle of the track, there are two banshees that will circle around it. Use a plasma pistol to knock one of the banshees down and take it.

I remember in Halo 3 on the mission "The Covenant" at the part with the 2 scarabs, if you flew your Hornet at the right angle at the Pelican, you can get into the Pelican and actually sit in it.

Phantom > Pelican You don't know how fun it is to fly around in the phantom splattering banshees and shade turrets. For some reason only the phantom can boost by holding left trigger.

I did this solo and HOLY FUCK IS THE PHANTOM FAST

Now that Acrophobia is in Reach, this is super easy on solo

you can wedge the falcon in the side of the building its pretty easy

I am seeing a lot of people not knowing how to do the Easter egg in the bottom left corner when it says last one out turn off the lights you will get that saying, when you have activated all the jammers. Go to the spot and click the button, here are some tips you can do it solo and it is not difficult you can park your falcon where the button is just in the corner. Here are the controls for the pelican/phantom. Xbox to go up hold RB to go down hold LB to go really fast with the phantom hold left stick in and move forward. Pc controls to go down CTRL to go up you press S than CTRL once you start going up you can stop holding S, to go really fast with the phantom hold right click and W. I hope this has helped a lot of people:)

I've piloted both of these while playing this mission solo, but for some reason it's not possible to exit the vehicle once it's turned into either a phantom or pelacon, so I haven't done it with both vehicles in the same checkpoint.

Did it solo many times, but get no achievement (steam version), wtf

Can even get in the back of the pelican great for machinima and photos.

A tough achievement and it's only a 5 Gamerscore? Should be at least worth 20.

On solo, you can wedge the falcon in the left corner, under the button part. Fly over, hit the button, get back in. I usually wait a few seconds to make sure the falcon isn't going to fall before flying over to the button

Why are there so many damn co-op needed achievements!

I managed to get the phantom solo because you use the falcon to hit the button and banshees will be flying around you but not attack, hit the button then hijack one as its flying close and get the phantom. Then call for evac and take the falcon and get the pelican

I did this solo, quite easy if you know what your doing. And you can destroy the objective turrets with the phantom by just going through them.

This took me several attempts but here's how I did it 1. Take the Falcon and wedge it enough in between the walls (it's possible to balance the wings on the walkways but wedging it is more easier), jump out, and land on the ledge 2. Hit the button, get back in and change into the Pelican (just to get it out of the way) 4. Fly back to the club (totally optional, this is just what I did. There's other places to get Banshees) and wait for some banshees to fly by (if you're looking to the club then they'll be flying to the right) 5. Time the jump, yoink the Banshee and change to the Phantom 6. Enjoy your achievement!

Why the switch doesn't appear?

Dude this annoyed me. I did this solo - figured out how to do it solo and prepare both a banshee and falcon. I get both the phantom and pelican in ONE save but no achievement. You wanna know why I didn’t get the achievement? Because I didn’t actually wait for Kat’s dialogue which triggers the arrows above the shade turrets :/

if doing it solo, use a plamsa pistol to temp disable a banshee to grab it easier. but i did have an issue with my banshee despawning while i did the switch, so i had to grab another. my Falcon also despawned so i had to put the banshee somewhere, press the evac button to get new Falcon before flipping the switch. there is a corner by the switch which is great at keeping a banshee in place

I’m here because my friend, his brother, and I got halo reach on my series x and Xbox one. We are gonna play but servers are down and can’t even do system link. I started talking about memories and tis one of them

I've done this on the 360 version, if you have your partner get in th back of the pelican and then get out of the pilot seat the pelican and other person will survive through the bottom kill barrier and can explore the bottom of the map

The game wouldn't let me call in for evac after pressing the button, and when I tried to call an evac at the same time as pressing the button, the level just crashed. (MCC)

Ai can pilot phantom turrets ai can also do pelican turrets but people can do pelican turrets but can't see to fix this bring the turret super close to ground then shoot the ground and if you see you did it right now that player can see. Also if a player leaves the driver while a player is inside the pelican won't dissapear. The phantom can be destroyed

This brought up so many memories of countless hours playing with friends on 360. I had one friend who knew how to do this so we did it together one night and it’s the best moment I’ve ever had in reach.

if you do it solo you can kick the marines out of the falcon and leave the marines on a building then go back when you have the pelican and they should enter it

I couldnt exit the the phantom can anyone help?

I didn't get a checkpoint,but got the achievement.I did it will,on easy.I flew the Phantom through a building and died.Thank you for the guide,I probably wouldn't have figured it out myself.

If you’re doing the switch next to club errera alone park the falcon with the wings on the ledges, get out and hop in as a passenger, not the turret, get out and use your jet pack to get to the ledge, then jet pack up press the button and get back into the falcon (I think I should have clarified it more, but I think you get the picture)

Its not hard to do solo im or just a good i can get both of them solo its not hard and sometimes both

man I love how subtle and hidden these achievements can be. One of my favourites is when you get the first datapad on this level solo and let your team mates fall to their death after getting out of the vehicle :'D

I hate the fact that you couldn’t use the gravity left on the phantom

You can wedge the falcon with the propellers and use it as a platform. And still use the falcon for the pelican

If you missed the jet pack get a co op partner to stand on the falcon and jump to press the switch
