PRO TIP FOR ANYONE WHO MAY BE ON STEAM DECK: Do NOT run the game with anti cheat disabled if you wanna play your mods. Idk why but the mods only run when you run MCC normally. Anti cheat will always prevent you from playing multiplayer on steam deck, but for some reason launching the game with it disabled stops you from playing your mods.
343 is like two sides of a coin, on one side they fail and disapoint even though they are trying. But on the other hand their side project with MCC is a massive sucess and no-one can find a bad thing to say about it (except for removing OG progression) I wish 343 could put the same magic into their main line games as they have put into the legacy games..
Something interesting I saw in the "known issues" section of the update is that it says that Reach has more lighting bloom then on 360. So they may have OVERSHOT fixing the postprocessing effects and now it's too intense rather then not intense enough? Might be something for you go look into. Also, do you know if they fixed any Reach's other visual issues with that update, like the missing shadows? It's hard for me to tell given my PC/xbox setup.
This was interesting to note. Reach did look a little too bright. It was nice to read that some of the issues with Halo 3 were fixed such as the Cortana scanlines not scaling correctly with resolution. There are still many things left unfixed though. Hope they get to them eventually. Please send tickets to the support site!
Hope "why" can do some comparisons for some Halo 3 fixes listed in the patch notes. Also please do a video on ODST if there is anything to note with legacy issues. I'm sure there are some.
Anyone had issues with playing a modded map for the campaign trynna play co-op but suddenly disconnect’s 15 secs into the game pretty much making it unplayable with a friend
I've noticed some of the workshop mods I've downloaded say "make sure you have halo 3/reach mod dll files installed" even though mcc now has workshop do I still need to download the mod dll files?
Is steam workshop as complicated as Nexus mods? Like does the mods just work when you download them from steam without needing to have a god tier amount of IQ to make everything run right on nexus mods?
Late reply, but: If it all goes well then yes, it really is just that simple. The only thing id really keep track of is, if listed within a steam workshop mod, if one has to do extra steps to activate the mod. However take that last tidbit with a pinch of salt as it might be obsolete info; it has been a good while since i last checked the steam workshop mods.
@IndecisiveBoi , i tried it on pc with anti cheat and on halo 3 but it keeps on not showing me the modded maps for the sandtrap ai firefight map and keeps showing me custom maps. Does anyone know how to solve this?
It does actually. It's pretty weird, but you launch MCC with anti cheat on steam deck. Mods have worked fine for me on steam deck too. But even still, MCC does work on steam deck, but anti cheat is really weird with it, and doesn't allow you to play multiplayer or online stuff.
@@BIGDONHERE I figured out and will share it in case someone else has the problem but a long time ago I switched it to not prompt which version and I forgot about it. To turn the prompt on go to the game in your steam library, right click, click properties, and go to the launch option in "General". Select "Ask when starting game".
