Areet I've lived in Haltwhistle and the surrounding area most of my life! You missed out loads of great places including the Alston arches viaduct over the river Tyne.💚💛❤️

Thanks for the Walk! It's a beautiful town with a long and rich history. I'll be in Haltwhistle in May. I'm spending a few days there with my English friends. I hope for nice weather. Greetings from East Germany!

It is indeed! The surrounding area - particularly up towards Hadrian's Wall - is absolutely gorgeous, and certainly an incredible area for walking as you mention :) Thank you so much for watching - I'm really glad you enjoyed the video!

I would love to go to this village one day. I wouldn't even need an itinerary - I would be satisfied enough just walking around and exploring. It seems so peaceful and relaxing. You can walk around at your own pace without fear of getting trampled by a crowd. I know the typical vacation spots are filled with noise and action but that's not my speed.

It's actually a town and is a lot bigger than this video shows. Well worth a visit and there's plenty of camp sites around if you don't like bed and breakfast or hotels.

This is one place in Britain I would like to visit. As it's close to a section of hadrian's wall. And is reputedly the geographic center of the island of Britain.

@@LetsWalkUK yea, also, the other smaller towns in county Durham are nice eg...Stanley, consett. Bishop Auckland etc. A town not far from Berwick-Upon-Tweed called Alnwick is quite an interesting place to visit
