Yeh it would have been nice if they could have doubled as like a Cale or something. It’s hard to see them as Halloween fairy wings

@@HamManReviews and whereas I am grateful for all that it also makes me appreciate the rare new Characters even more. Like those Shield Combat Bots and the Terrans from Earthspark and Wild Wheel from Cyberverse. Because in world where *checks notes* they are mining the comics for characters to go along with the millionth iteration of Optimus it is really good to see that can still make new Characters who might one day be the crowd favourite of the next generation of fans

I think they wanted to take the license when they made em re-start the universe. IDW2 was jus boring and the law kinda phoned in. I have no problem with wider representation. First time out didn’t even notice, second round felt a lil more like box ticking.

@@HamManReviews it's not repestation I'm not worried about it's when they shove into face and that is what idw did and they lost a lot of support because it literary making almost every gay fanfic , turning noble characters into crazed Zealots or tyrants , literary destroying there own lore and having Optimus Prime hunging out with Unicron is just really bad fan fiction and I don't want to even bring up what they did to the bw characters in their first run before the reboot . Like said beginning and middle of idw was fine but once they went woke they literary lost everything and now are a husk of their former selves . Everyone has the right to their beliefs but sun is still sin no matter how hard people try to make it look good and idw paid the price for their stance .

Hopefully the toy inspires a deep dive into the IDW comic back catalogue

I know what ya mean with the shoulders I kept trying to make them fit in some kinda more definitive way to no avail. I do think the wings have come out cooler than I thought but they still have a touch of kids party fairy wings to them.

It’s a pain but at least an easy fix, not like miner megatrons knees

Very Thor is if it’s God of War Thor. It’s a great figure.

I’m the other way round, I love the chonk and toyetic quality this mold has. I love being able to arm up a figure for a super mode. I’ve got every version they’ve put out. Even the Netflix one cos I’m a sucker for Magnus.

@@HamManReviews I don't mind super modes or arming up figures, I just don't like this mold. Could just be my copy and coincidentally most of the reviews I've seen of Magnuses and Galaxy Prime, but none of the 'super mode' parts are ever tight enough to not wobble constantly and the legs are a panel-y mess on the Magnuses. The leg parts on mine also seem pretty thin, like every time I try to pose his legs with all the armaments the whole thing flexes against the figure inside. I admit it works much better for Nova and Galaxy Primes than Magnus since the leg panel issue is mostly gone, but it still doesn't do it for me tbh. One thing I'll give the OG Siege mold is I love the truck mode's homage to RiD 2001 Magnus. But hey, I'm just ranting, by no means am I telling you to stop enjoying the mold just cause I don't care for it. To each his own and all that, right?

I had it pre-ordered and cancelled it after this review (nothing wrong with the review), it just really does nothing for me, I'm not sure whether I 'need' a Nova Prime anyway now.

I was so sure it was gonna be a partial from that new Volvo prime cos the legs would have worked better with his original design and then a tricked out trailer. I do love the toyetic heft of this figure. Plus I’m sucker for armouring up a bot.

I have no regrets, I really like him and can understand them going the partial route with a lesser known character for a capsule release

I think it's good that Hasbro and TakaraTomy tackle characters who would otherwise never get a figure in toy form. Sometimes it is a pity that they want to get off easily. For example, with the Deadeye Duel 2 pack, the Kaskade figure.

Unless nova appears in some key fiction I think your right about that. I love this mold so I don’t really mind but I’d thought it was gonna be an armoured up version of that Volvo Christmas prime

@@HamManReviews A creative retool of Nova as the Volvo Optimus wearing armor would have looked so darn cool if they approached it right, though at the same time it would likely have been difficult to pull off if for no other reason than thaat Volvo Optimus is a surprisingly lithe figure in areas compared to the Magnus core. Ultimately though if we had just gotten a proper Cybertron Prime that would have been absolutely perfect. Sadly I need to pass on this guy for now. Maybe one day I'll grab him and experiment with a total upgrade overhaul to make him just right, but as he stands I just can't say I like the figure enough to get him. I'm definitely happy to hear others like yourself enjoy him, though, he's an important character to get a figure of, and I at least hope there's a chance we'll get some representations of the other Primes of the past.Heck, maybe we can even get a different Kind of retool from Volvo Optimus in the form of IDW Prime, as well.
