Our repeaters really need more love than they get. Strangely enough as I was watching this, both my local repeaters (GB3BZ and GB3EZ) burst into life! Maybe others were watching your video at the same time as me!!

Another great video Tony. Sometimes we forget the basic stuff and this sort of refresher is just great. Take care.

Good presentation Tony thanks. I would have liked to have seen the GB3ML cavity filters and maybe make the point, that not only monitor your local repeater, but put out a call from time to time. I am certain there are lots of amateurs these days simply monitoring, but reticent in making a call. Also, stay on the channel for a minute after making a general call, to allow someone to get to the shack and find their microphone!

Unfortunately one reason people may keep away from repeaters especially analogue one's such as for example my local repeater Harrow is the almost constant abuse and jamming until this is solved (ofcom) people will keep away from them thankfully in the main the digital repeaters are free of this problem
