Went there last month, Remember getting flyer in the mail when I was a teenager. Could Spend days looking esp in the back rooms. Never seen so much in one place. Some things will never get sold. One of a kind place.

I see very little Junk in this video... I see a Wonderland of Equipment just waiting for a home.

I can't recall for 100% Sure which was first, and which was second, but the first time and the second I drove a car any distance at age 16, the FIRST two trips were to Fair Radio in Lima, and to Universal Radio in Reynoldsburg. 73 DE W8LV BILL

I am very very sorry YOU DO NOT Understand what a GOLD MINE is to a technician who loves to build stuff and do repairs. Such collections like the one in this video have gone the wayside with the Steam Loco and Analog VHF/UHF TV transmitters. I was very lucky to have grown up in 1954 in New York City. And if you don't know why, That is also sad. Your too young. NYC Manhattan RADIO ROW as it was nick named by everyone who knew the area weather you lived in NYC or in some location on this earth. If you played with electronic equipment, you knew just what and where this location was. You also knew all the other Ham Radio stores only a few city blocks from that location in Manhattan. I will toss out just one, Barry Electronics 512 Broadway, New York, NY was a 5 floor loft, but the main store was a walk up from the street. All other floors you took the freight elevator, as if you were a regular good customer. you got to use the elevator on your own. Every sq inch was jam packed with what you called Junk. But to me and the others who got to bath in this heaven. It was pure gold. I would spend hours once a month with my Dad. And the same for the area downtown called Radio Row. Now the World trade center. The Foot print of the World trade center was once all RADIO ROW lofts and warehouse full of war surplus equipment from WW1 and ww2, Korea, and Vietnam. Those day's are gone. We now retired engineers who remember the vast equipment that was called surplus and put up for sale at dirt cheep price was a Gold mine to us. I had brought an entire military Army radio station, all crated up good knows how much this stuff coast us tax payers. but I cut a check for $5,000 even. must have been over a 1,000lbs of equipment. Wife was mad. I did not care. everything worked and all was mint new, never been open. So it was Not Junk. Gold. parts parts and more box's of parts. Not junk. Gold Penny's for the hand full. Tubes so many back then Eimac 4-1000 tube set of 4 tested and working. gave the man $200 bucks. Not junk Gold. All of this is now but a Dream. Thank you for making me go back in Memory land.
