Thank you for doing this. I don't see well, and instruction manuals are impossible for me to read. I rely on videos like this to show me how things work.
I have an old 4-cup Cuisinart that works extremely well, but I finally had it with the small size and having to do batch after batch after batch. I settled on this large capacity machine due to the price point. This video is certainly informative and helpful. Thank you!
The way you’re placing the food in the processor is the reason for the uneven slices. Most of the time when used in a professional kitchens they don’t use the press specifically for even slices, then taking the small end bit of whatever you’re processing and slicing it by hand.
This is such a great video that reviews both the advantages and drawbacks. Way better than those artificiallly beautified official marketing videos which are useless and misleading.
Ive never owned a food processor but am getting my first one today. Of course a hamilton beach lol. I cook so so much food and am sure this will help out a lot.
Thank you Anita, you've just answered a dilemma that I had. I have the Ninja & I didn't know how to put the slicing & shredding discs in. Now I do thanks to you.You should be paid by you tube & all the companies that you do reviews for.You are # no1 reviewer in my humble opinion & estimation.
Very helpful video since I just ordered this processor from Overstock. I like to see an actual demonstration of the product and thus will help me immensely with Thanksgiving day prep work.
I own the smaller version of this (purchased at Walmart). It doesn't have as many possible accessories as did the KitchenAid food processor I used to own, but it has a slightly larger capacity, a larger feed tube, and is far simpler to assemble, use and store than the KitchenAid FP was. I really like it!
Nice review. I got the exact same processor last week, it's awesome. Also it's nice to know I don't have to the chopping blade with the slicing disc, the instructions never said otherwise.
I bet it helps to load vegetables as Straight as possible might even use the inside shoot for summer smaller ones to get more even cuts it does matter how those vegetables sit on that blade
Thanks for the review. I already own this food processor but thought I would watch for ideas. So far I have tried making Hudson's Maurice salad dressing, shredding and slicing vegetables, cheese, and lunch meat for appetizers. Recently I mixed up a Keto cheese cake recipe making both the cream cheese filling and the almond flour crust mix. Everything has turned out great. I have only had food get caught once and it came out. Overall I enjoy it very much and will be ordering one for a family member Christmas present soon.
I’ve had one of these for almost 20 years the previous model and it’s still working I just wanted one with a larger shoot and I thought maybe that Snap lid, maybe would be better or easier to get on and off.
That's exactly what I was looking for: a machine that is different prepared - without having to empty the kitchen machine x times! just change the attachments on the top of the mixer! perfect! I've always wondered why kitchen machines have to be so complicated and awkward: the simplest thing would be to throw everything into a machine and process it together, which should be processed together! Thank you! good demonstration!
On Amazon it got bad Reviews for using it to make dough for Bread or Pizza's etc, they said that the plastic dough Blade snapped off while trying to make dough etc.
MyREDTAIL .Everything can break down: that's the way it is. If I like the concept, everything else will find its way - I also have something like that at Bosch that breaks parts. only they do that deliberately so you have to buy parts ... if sticky dough causes it to break - you have to take less of the quantity - then the resistance is smaller ...... Thank you!
This was so helpful! Thank you 😊 I haven’t found a video yet until yours that shows how food works in the processor. I am ready to go on my vegan recipes
The singsong voice was a little much, but I had a sense this video was going good places. Watching garlic and jalapeno get minced in seconds is amazing. I feel like it takes me forever to chop stuff but I wasnt sure a food processor would do what I wanted
Just picked up this 12 cup Hamilton Beach food processor from Target today. Wanted one to speed up making Cole Slaw. Was only $49.95 at Target. I didn't expect it to be the best, but it was priced right. Thanks for demoing the product with real food. The instructions say to put the cheese in the freezer to harden it before shedding it. Looking forward to using mine.
What I want to know is how do you get food out of that side piece on the lid? I've tried squirting water through it but food still stays trapped. It is really annoying. My manual does not address this issue.
Thank you for the good review. I just ordered one for my wife. I can see that if the "must use pusher" safety option is painful, I'll have to do a slight modification to disable it :) - Joe
Great Review! Just one comment...I am pretty sure you can knead dough in this food processor..that is one of the fastest ways to knead and it shows right on the Hamilton Beach website. If you look up kneading dough in food processor you might see. I have never read anything about not being able to knead dough in food processor so any info you have on that would be informative. Thanks for the great review! Have a great day!
@bestkitchenreviews Hello I have a few things to say and ask. First, I want to thank you for NOT OVER HYPING ANY PRODUCTS in your reviews, EVEN IF YOU GIVE GOOD REVIEWS OR THE ITEM PERFORMS WELL WITH YOU. You keep a calm cool and realistic and honest demeanor. Its appreciated by me. Most of the it'll look for your review on kitchen products before I PURCHASE THEM. My question is I need a cheese grater for a 5 cheese baked mac and cheese... Would you recommend this machine to be up for the task? Thank you for your time and advice
Hi, glad you enjoy my reviews! I appreciate your comments :) I would recommend this machine for shredding cheese as it performed well. Just make sure the cheese is very cold and it should be easier to process.
Very informative demo. I just got one. I have never used a food processor and needed to get the basics. User manuals are informative but very hard to read. Generally the print is too small and many times a pale grey. I got my unit on sale at Target and think it will be perfect for my needs.
I hope that you keep on doing what you do, for a long time to come Anita. You are the only reviewer who's opinion that I really trust. You are #1 reviewer in my mind anyway
Excellent Demo! Exactly what I wanted to see. How each function performed! Great job! I can tell you put so much thought and work into this review that I had to comment thank you!
Thank you for this great review! I bought this food processor a few months ago and it works great so far. But I lost the instructions manuel and I needed to shred cheese. I didn't know what end up the disc was to be in. Lol You saved the day for me! Thanks again! 👍💯
I can tell you put so much thought and work into this review that I had to comment thank you! Thanks , very good Review =) this is how a Review of this Things should be like Very helpful, thank you for uploading this video.
What about the Warranty does it have with , Most of the Plastic Parts, Libel to snap or break, Are they covered for replacement, Under the Warranty, during normal use etc.?
Hi I have bought this from Amazon but I haven't use it yet.I tried couple of times but no idea .Now I came to know. Can I grind soaked rice in this processor. Please let me know
I feel like this isn’t the best food processor for one key reason. At 2:32 you can see the blade to bowl distance is too far The pulses are 3 seconds long, not good Nooks and crannies to clean, that’s an issue
THANK YOU SOooo very much for this review! I just bought this machine and so your video is extremely helpful for me to understand how the machine operates as those instruction books are always confusing to me! :-) Heaven's Blessings, Cher
YES, IT WAS EXCELLENT and you covered every necessary and imperative detail! :-) How lovely you are in your profile photo! :-) I have subscribed to your channel and I look forward to your educational videos in the future! May you and your loved ones be blessed always, Cher :-)
Hello, can you tell me IF both blades CAN be used at once? I used to have one that would shred the cheese while the bottom blade mixed the mayo and pimentos at the same time. I had pimento cheese without having to empty the cheese then put in the blade with mayo and pimentos add back cheese and mix. Will this one do that? Thanks ;-)
I have this food processor, the device quit working in no time , the small little plastic pieces that push down to the base look to be broken and will not connect, so that it want run but of I just push from the base so it want work, not to pleased with this device.
Good Lord can I find a processor that I can put food in that I don't have to dice first and that chute line is ridiculous you should be able to run the machine and put in cucumber after cucumber or half large onions without having to chop them 1st
