I usually only fish the lake arm at Hamilton Branch. This time I explored the creek as well

I took a 29 incher out of the little run where you took the 21 incher. The branch in the fall is some of the best water in northern California.

I agree. The whole area has the potential to catch a giant at anytime. Thanks for watching

Thanks for checking out the video Eric. If you want a chance at a 30” fish, I would get up there in the next 2wks before the water gets too low and fish the lake arm. The crowd thins out midweek

@@colbymyers6278 Sadly, I'm getting ready to move up to Siskiyou county at the end of the month, so not a ton of free time right now. One of these days or seasons...

Idk. I drove up there 2-3wks ago and the water in the lake arm was up to the tree line. And the creek was way to high to wade.

Some big ones. Nice catches. Also good to see the water level higher than last year.

The water level is pretty much the same every year. A month ago the lake level was 4-5ft higher, but the fish where there. Now it’s 2ft lower than last year at the same time. The rule of thumb is, the water will usually be to high in July and to low by mid/late September. Some years it’s good into October though.
