I was 27 in 1975 and still listen to this often. I’m over 70 now and I am still stuck on the 70’s. So fortunate to have experienced that era in my life.
@@erniemoorer5103 Yes, she was the host that day on The Midnight Special and sang along with the guys "Fallin' in Love." In this link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZaetNvkmnXY.htmlsi=B9I9ItQhwv77BUAz you can watch the performance with live audio. Unfortunately, the video quality isn't good, and the sound has a lot of noise from the deteriorated tape, but it's what we have for now.
I met Dan Hamilton in 1977 after he left the band. He is the cute one taking the lead with this song. He is such a sweet guy. He is so talented. I saw him play many different instruments. He left the band because of the lifestyle that went with it. (drugs, etc... ) I'll never forget him. ❤❤❤
You mean Tommy Reynolds. He is the one singing. Was ripped off by his bandmembers when he left to pursue a christian life. He became and still is one of Jehovah's Witness.
The epitome of cool! No rap... No trash... Just a time machine of smooth as silk, feel good music that takes you back to a world of no cell phones... no drama... At 57... M makes me feel like an 11 year old kid again... Growing up at home... Now everyone is gone😢... THE BEST FEW MINUTES OF YOUR LIFE!
@@TheBlackUnfoldHe's just happy this song is here. Probably doesn't mean it directly. Just compare your childhood favorites to stuff that comes out now. No competition huh? (or maybe you're not nostalgic as much idk)
This is one of those songs that take me back to the best parts of my childhood. I was eight years old. It's summer. My mom gets us all (9 of us) up early and feeds us breakfast. She then takes the whole family to the berry fields (usually raspberry) and we pick enough berries for food and gas money to go swimming (usually South Prairie creek) for the rest of the day. We would do this almost daily. These are my fondest memories of growing up. Just being with my Mommy and my brothers and sisters. P.S. I always ate more berries than I picked. Rest in Paradise, Mommy. You are missed every day. I love you.
I’ve just started remembering these specific songs. It makes me sad that these song makers are gone😢 Thank you guys for being a part of my childhood ❤❤
The beauty of music, it takes us back to better and happier times! I’m sure she is singing right along with you! Nothing like 60’s 70’s and 80’s we are blessed to live in those times, cause the world has gone to crap! May she rest in peace and god comfort your soul!
I'm laughing because I too am 63. I to was 15 at the time this song was new. I can remember listening to it on my little transistor radio as I feel asleep so many times. 1975.
Yes, grew up in the 70s some songs just made you feel good with great lyrics and music and always tried to sing along, I was only 8 or 9 good memories. Thank for the posting of this song hopefully someone can do something to the video
As a drummer at the age of 12 , I started playing to radio tunes and sure gave me the drive for a lifetime. Music is a beautiful way to communicate to the soul
Supreme A You know that's right. What a free world. I was a kid but everything stood still. Time was on our side and in 79 I was off to high school. Wow, what a trip. Still was a good time.
That was summer of 1975. I was 8 years old, a huge music fan, and listened to the radio all the time. This was huge. We lived on a lake and had a beach frontage. My sister was a 16 yr old, and as such had 16 yr old friends, who to me were grown women. I didn't much like girls then, but it was the first time one struck me in the heart, and her name was Gail. She and all of the rest of them would lay out and tan on the beach, and I fell head over heels in love with Gail, and this was the song. :) My sister used to tease me about it all the time and she told Gail, which embarrassed me to no end..... but she told me I was very sweet and she wished more guys were like me. It changed my life. Thank you Hamilton, Joe Frank and Reynolds. What brought me here was being in a coffee shop the other day and hearing "Don't Pull Your Love Out On Me".
This is actually one of the best songs I can imagine experiencing your first feelings for a girl with. Way better than mine: Voices Carry by Til Tuesday. It took me a long time to get what that whole song was about! Not exactly the romantic vibes I first associated it with!
@@2002Trish I love and miss the 70’s very much but you’re right. Serial killers, gas crisis, inflation, promiscuity, international conflicts etc. But it WAS a better time…better music and most people were just…groovier. 😊
The 70s as a child were great when music was special, the artist were on top of it all giving so much to radio Am and Fm . Memories of those time will live in those who appreciate those gifts.
Best gift I ever received as a child was a tan AM transistor radio from my grandmother. Turned me onto 70's music and 60 years later I've never left. years later.
Same here. I got my first transistor for my 10th birthday. Fell asleep with it under my pillow every night. My mom would turn it off and when she left the room, I'd turn it back on. I was 10 in 71.
@@ettaplace6716 I forgot the name of disease, but one of those rare auto immune types. It was not drugs, or suicide or car accident. So at least not those horrible ways.
I have loved this song since the very first time I heard it on the radio in the 1970's. Dan Hamilton's voice is smooth as velvet and the band's sound was just magical. So blessed to have been surrounded by great songs like this while growing up!
❤I'm sorry for your loss; finding your soulmate is challenging. I'm glad you could live a fulfilling life together since 1976. This song has such incredible and special energy that will continue to radiate forever.❤
Dan Hamilton nasceu em 01/06/1946 e faleceu em 23/12/1994 com 48 anos vítima de Síndrome de Cushing .vai ficar eternamente em nossa memória pelos amantes das músicas antigas internacionais.
Haven’t heard that song in forever. Music of that era always sounds fresh. Wish the songs of today would contain words and harmonies that 40 years later will matter,
Let me tell you; I cannot get over this man throughout Eternity. That's the way it's gonna be so young and free and naturally the way it's gotta beeeeeeeee. I hope to say hi to him in heaven. They always take the good ones first.
Man, I sure do miss those days... I thank God for the gift of being able to experience living in the seventies. It was incredible in so many ways - but the music is first on that list...
I like this music group band so much. They are talented, smart, handsome, beautiful, share pleasant songs to listen to, and are timeless and classic. Thank you for sharing!
@@BigBearCarolina1 Good likeness and I can totally see a resemblance but its Helen Reddy. This video is from 1975 and from July 1975 through March 1976 Helen Reddy served as the regular host of the show. It's Helen Ready you can be sure of it.
I believe this is the original recorded version dubbed over what was recorded from the TV show. The actual song on the TV show was live and Helen Reddy sings a part solo.
Wow, this is 4 years after "Don't Pull Your Love" in 1971 which was a #10 Hit in Australia & #4 on U.S. Billboard. "Falling in Love" was #64 in Australia and #1 on U.S. Billboard. "Falling in Love" falls into a genre of very similar sounding songs.
13 when I first heard this song and it's just one of those tunes that you're never gonna forget and absolutely turned nostalgic the very next time and thereafter to date..
I was a teenager when this song came out in the 70's. At the time, I didn't listen to soft rock music, strictly R&B. But every now and then, a song would come out that I couldn't stop listening to, and this was one of those songs. Along with "Dirty Low Down" by Boz Skaz. I lost my mom's in the early 70's and everything in my life was hypersensitive. I'll never forget the music or the times.
Such a smooth song from the 70s. Listened to it many times when I was in high school. 1975 was my 10th grade. Now I'm 62, tired, burnt out, and grumpy. This song makes me smile a bit.
Dan Hamilton's music always brings a smile and joy. I recommend listening to "Everyday Without You," it's beautiful and always fills me with happiness.
