Welcome to the video and today we take a look at the Hamilton Khaki Field King Auto, a fully automatic wristwatch from the Swatch Group.
This model is one of my favourite picks from the Khaki range and in the video i go over why i think this is a great value watch compared to others within the same price band.

4:43 - Tip: Traditionally, case diameter measurements don't include the crown. This watch has a 40mm case diameter, not 43mm. Otherwise, good video.

I just can't handle bracelets...When I was growing up the only people who wore bracelets were insurance salesman, second hand car dealers and suspected paedophiles.

I like this model, though I chose and I picked up the Hamilton Khaki 42mm H7515137 with the stainless steel bracelet. I think the 38mm is a perfect size thus this will be my next watch..

This watch is called "Hamilton khaki King II". I juz bought one, hv to agree that it looks good on wrist. Good quality for the price range. Not sure whether will burn yr pocket when it's time for servicing.

Gary Nguyen the movement only needs to be serviced once every 5 years and it will cost you approximately $200-$250.

I'm waiting for delivery of the black dial version of the "Car Key" King. It's a watch I've admired/desired for some time. I came across an excellent price and couldn't resist treating myself with one for an upcoming millstone (sic) birthday. I'm fairly new to watch collecting and this will only be my second Swiss automatic. Given it's looks, specs and consistently good reviews I expect to like it very much. Good point on going with the bracelet. I bought it with the leather strap and now want to buy the bracelet but they´re $200 :( for that price I´d rather get a cheaper watch

Is it using 304L or 316L stainless steel on the case and bracelet? The million dollar question for affordable non-diver style watches...

Do you know what VPH this movement has? The stock movement has a beat rate of 28800, but since the reserve has been upped to 80 hours, i would imagine they'd bring the VPH down too.

Yes, it has been bumped down to 21k bph, which is a bummer. I miss the smooth sweep of the older ETA movement.

I did like this watch until you said.. no screw down crown.. I don't think it should be called King without screw down crown....

Yes I kind of agree, for the price point it's not a big ask for such a feature. That being said I see a lot of watches with screw down crowns that wear out prematurely so they have their benefits and their shortcomings.

Dislike the chopped numbers - 11 and 1... prefer the 38mm version with all numbers displayed on the dial.

Width is 20 mm, and lenght 😂is 49 mm.

Let me explain why this watch is not for me. I currently have the watch. However it is rotation watch so need to wind frequently if not hard to adjust day and date. Especially legibility of dat and date is pretty weak and because of the crown guard , it is hard to wind the watch. Another negative point is 50m water resistance so it is not so proper for daily usage. Kind Regards Levent

Apparently they do have a regulator but it's not a conventional one like in the older version of the same watch with the stock ETA movement.

@@jackwestern8284 look at the bracelet in the middle.....there are two parts joined together. Concerning the balance Hamilton uses laser for the regulation.

@@mastrod747 what's the bracelet to do with regulation? So it does have a regulator, just one that Hamilton have to regulate instead. I've had mine for a couple of months now and it keeps excellent time for now at least.

It can be regulated. Your local watchmaker will have no problems or you can opt to send to Swatch group for service. People obsesse over it not having a regulator screw.
