I bought more bowling balls than I care to admit last year, and the Purple Reactive is the ball of the year. It has me looking at the other Hammer products as well.

glad to hear it. once you have an established arsenal, it's all about understanding what new balls will fill the voids, or replace a worn-out shape. that will keep the purchases to a reasonable number!

Interesting batch of balls, you've got a little bit of everything. The Envy is more ball than I'll ever need. The 3D Attack isn't for me, but I bet it's a big hit. The Scorpion Pearl is right up my alley, and I may try it out at some point. The Purple Hammer Reactive is a bit of an odd duck. You don't see balls with those core numbers and a strong covers these days . I love the continuous motion of the Purple Hammer, but the urethane cover is a bit early for me most of the time. Interested to try it out. Kinda disappointed Hammer didn't bring back the old school Reactive Hammer "R" logo though.

the ball motions are different, with the purple being more cover dominant with more total board coverage. for a typical league bag i think that's a lot of overlap, but for an expanded tournament bag, i think there is definitely room for both.

Do you see much difference in the Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid and the 3-D Offset Attack?

i have the BW 2.0 Hyb stronger and sharper downlane than the ghost. similar backend to the attack, but more midlane, making it more suitable for heavier and fresher oil.

I noticed on this chart you don't have the Black widow 2.0 anymore but on your website it's still being sold but you have the 3D offset original on here but that's not being produced anymore so and why did you guys get rid of and stop producing the 3D offset 25th anniversary

hey scott. i make these charts personally, they are not official marketing. the website reflects the current product line. my charts have every release for the calendar year regardless if they are discontinued or not. black widow 2.0 was a november 2020 release. cheers.

i bowl leagues and tournaments, but i am a core design engineer. i am not at the level of the elite players. we have a whole staff of elite pro players to showcase the motions.
