Tim ! Awesome video but please ! Never .... EVER ! ..... start your vids without saying ..... " Hi folks , Tim Robson here . " Its your catchphrase ! Your signature intro ! Its YOU ! . 😊👍🍻
Fine to see you and Carlisle195 at camp together. I made sure to watch because I needed a refresher lesson on how to set up my AMOK. I believe I see what I did wrong the last time! With the tarp overhead, the whole package makes a fine shelter, even from wind and rain. An under quilt for colder nights makes it perfect.
All I can say is make sure you have a good angle from the hammock to the tree and then set your tarp line around the tree where the tree strap goes so that it is good and high above the hammock if you need to bring it down it’s easy to slacken the line and do it that way
@@TimRobson30 Alas, it is possible that I tried to get into the wrong end of the AMOK, with the mat pocket opening being at the top. I kept sliding down the thing all night long...until I gave up.
@@jamesellsworth9673 ahhh that’s a shame pal yeah it was that way round with the old model but they switched it. You will have a much better experience getting in the right way around.
I agree Tim, Your catch phrase is Great. Very happy to see you and John getting out together. Hope you liked the Fire Steel Set that I sent to you and John. Looking forward to seeing both of you use them in a video. Get John to send me your email address so I can converse with you other than on the forum. Love your stuff, keep up the good work both of you. Best regards, Randy
Keep up the good content, it's good to see you having fun with the new camera. Just an idea, you could lock the focus while doing close up shots. I did Macro Photography when i was younger, and i remember getting auto focus problems. Used to own 2 x Minolta x-700 bodies and lenses.
That’s a good plan I’m still learning when is best to use auto and when it’s best to use manual settings. Thanks for the tips please feel free to dump knowledge on me. All the best
Hello young-one, l like your sleeping hammock, if l had the money l want one, anymore adventure l needed fun now cause I'm still lockdown in Scotland l still want out camping
Great video Tim, I love your hammock and tarp set-up. Is there anyone that builds a better fire than John? PS Video quality is so much better on your new cam.
Thanks for the comment the Amok set up is great I can’t say enough good about it. John sure can get a big fire going and together when we make a fireplace or a kiln we can get some scary heat going, we set fire to a roof once. All the best
Tim , I love you vids, you are awesome, I love your hammock, I have been trying to find one with no luck, can you please tell me where you got it, lots of love from Indiana, USA
Sorry for my late reply. Glad you like the look of the Amok Draumr I used in this video it’s an amazing sleep system and can only be purchased from there website Amok equipment dot com All the best
I use the fiskars axes ...make easy work of most things especially the splitting ones ...not the best looking on the eye but it's about job at hand I suppose....few of my mates have had gransfors bruks etc and the fiskars easily out performs them for a snippet of the price
Only because it’s a big cumbersome heavy headed lump lol try and use it for an hour without stopping, shave a stick like a feather with ease or split kindling down to 1cm square. An axe is for more than just splitting logs. All the best
I always wondered about the type of bread you guys were eating with your burgers in this video: in the US we’d call those english muffins, in England are they just called muffins? 😉
@@MegaMoe63 the gimbal I have is only for mobile phones unfortunately one for a digital camera would cost way too much money. The camera has stabilisation settings but I had them turned off by accident. All the best
