My name is Tim im 35 from the north. I started this channel to share some of the fun times i have out in the woods and on the fells both with friends and alone. I lived in a tent for 6 months and it gave me a bad back then i found hammocks! Proud owner of the Amok Draumr 4.0 and ultralight, now i sleep in luxury
Hahaha a red carpet on arrival. It’s a really nice place I just wish we could get it to ourselves one time it’s so busy. Thanks for the comment and all the best
First time viewer, been looking around for some flat lay hammocks for two and havemt found much. The link isnt working, but ill check around for the brand. Thanks for the vid, Tim! 🙏
Thank you for taking the time to watch and to leave a comment welcome. Their products are only available through the website, there are a lot of fakes and scams on other places try amokequipment.eu All the best
Great looking bit of kit there Tim. Great to see you all out and about; not so great to be reminded of the midges floating around as you were chopping wood! Tenacious little buggers.. Hope you Nic and Jack are doing well.
Hi mate thanks for the comment hope your all well too. It’s a great hammock we love it, midgies definitely less so they were really bad when we first arrived but went away by night thankfully. All the best
It doesn't really come across too well in the video so thought I would ask. The beauty of the original series Amok was that it was essentially like a waterproof / bugproof cocoon, with the fly net being neatly stowed etc etc ... this doesn't seem to be so well sealed from the bugfest ... might just be my eyesight though but easier to ask than to rewatch :D . Hope your keeping well.
The bug net is exactly the same on the double as on all the other models it is still stored away in the side corner and zips all the way around from head to toe, we had the lamp on inside at night with it all zipped up and nothing got inside. Thanks for the questions and all the best
Lovely video Tim / Nicola ! Really captured this time of year well besides the great demo . Jack was giving that stick some right shite while you was putting the Amok up ! 😆. You got a good edge on that axe mate . I remember John saying once you'd sharpened his axe for him . Be nice to see you doing it at some time ? Maybe a " short " ? Or included in a longer vid ? . Take care both 😊👍
Thanks for the comment mate glad you enjoyed jack and his stick ( it can be a pest in person haha) I have an old oil stone I use for my axe it’s older than me and works great, I’ll spend a little time by the fire using it next video for ya. All the best
glad you two boys have made up look forward to hopefully future camps together yous make a good team as fell wanderer says you know it makes sense you know it makes sense 😃 🫱🫲✌️🏕🔥 ATB 🏴 👍
We started talking again a while back and just recently started going for trips down the river for coffee and a catch up. Thanks for the comment all the best to you
Very nice, Tim. Jack must be into the cold water swimming therapy, that snaking though was funny, he's a lovely dog. Wonder how long it will be before you consider a larger vehicle...a Citroen Berlingo or Peugeot Partner offers low level boot entry, ample space and a tailgate that's great when it rains.
Hahaha jack just has no self preservation he is carefree and that sometimes winds him up in trouble. I’m very happy with my car for now it’s infinitely bigger than what I could transport on my bike and it’s comfortable and nippy. All the best
1st time watching your videos. They were enjoy very much. Also like the idea of a whisky with your coffee. I usely put more whisky in mine.. Like your little electric saw
Welcome to my channel and thank you very much for the comment. Whiskey in the coffee or a hot toddie as we call it in Scotland is a very nice enjoyable drink. All the best to you
