Wild camp in an ancient woodland using a Hammock for the first time ever + Wood Prep with Axe, Firebox Stove, Cooking burgers and filtering stream water. Thanks for watching 🔥 The channel I mentioned was @BourneOutside Check him out.
Another great video bud, I’m definitely a hammock kind of guy. When I come across a very small stream, I dig out a little sump, leave it a while to fill and clean itself and then use the sump to collect the water!
Thanks Terry, much appreciated mate. That's a good idea with the sump. Luckily the little pool was just big enough at this camp, but will definitely do that in future. Thanks for watching. Cheers, Elliott.
nice set up mate good wee video. i prefer hammocks to tents.once you tune your set up you wont go back to the ground. gave you a sub will go through the rest of your vids all the best. sam
Cheers Sam, much appreciated. Yeah I'm definitely going to be hammocking more often. Will try it higher up next time so I can stand up under the tarp. All the best, Elliott.
Thanks for the shoutout, Elliot 😉👍🏼 Glad you had a good sleep. Under quilt is a lot better! You have a great place to play there good sir! Bacon in the morning 😍
Stunning spot , running water, even the moss on the log, perfect. Love the jute lollipop technique. Now will you prefer the hammock or the ground in the end, or both like me 😄 I’m on the ground tomorrow night, I’m missing those floor dwell vibes. Always a great video sir. Love to peanut 👍
Thank you AJ. It was a good spot, proper ancient woodland vibe with loads of big old mature trees. I think I might end up preferring the hammock, at least when the weather is generally better because it has the advantage of not requiring flat ground, which is not easy to find in this area. Might get an under blanket though. Thanks for watching and have a good camp yourself. Looking forward to the video. Cheers, Elliott.
Cracking camp and video Elliott 👌 That's a really beautiful spot mate. I'm glad that you enjoyed the hammock. I tend to have some of my best sleep in my hammock but I do enjoy a good old bit of ground dwelling too. Take care buddy and I'll catch up with you again soon. Cheers, J 👍
Jason, I must apologise for not replying sooner, somehow missed your comment. Sorry mate. Anyway, thank you for your kind words and for watching. I'm definitely a hammock convert and it will give me a wider option of places to camp here in Devon, which is the main reason I love it. Cheers my man. Atb, Elliott.
@@beaconbushcraftoutdoors5834 Hey Elliott, no worries buddy. Glad you found it. Yeah, the hammocks open up a load more locations for camping, that's for sure. Hope that your keeping well and getting yourself some quality dirt time 🏕👍
