Just 75 USD. Great bow for little money.
35” max draw, fast enough, just a bit hand shock.
You can find this bow at AF Archery

I recently acquired this bow in a 50lb draw, I picked it up a week ago, got myself a home target on Saturday, and it's a dream to shoot. Thank you for helping me find a good bow.

I wanted to buy one after your thorough review but it seems they only offer a FedEx shipping option to Austria for an additional whopping 120 USD which completely ruins the bargain price. Do you maybe have a workaround for this problem? I would be pleased to hear your ideas. :)

I have used the TopArchery version of the Han bow, it's basically the same as this but siyahs are a little cheaply made, no varnish and the edges were sharp enough to cut part of the string so I stopped using it because of that. But it was similarly very creaky like this bow, maybe it's just the shape of the Han bow and the whipping that makes the noise like this, kinda puts me off though. Regarding Alibow, their Fiberglass bows are amazing, I purchased a Manchu Yarha from them and it's amazing for the price, and very flexible, no noise. I did have some gripe with the first Yarha I got because the top siyah was slightly bent. They said this couldn't have been an issue with their bowmaking because they carve the siyah after they attach it to the bow, so it must've been from continuous pressure during shipping, but they sent me another which was excellent. The Kheshig from Yarha is one of the most amazing bows I've ever used, the wide limbs make accurate shooting SO easy, and I really loved that bow so much until about 2 weeks ago I happened to take it out just for a pull in my room, as I have been doing during lockdown, and suddenly the back delaminated in my hands as I was at about 32" and the whole resin part of the handle split away from the body, was very shocking, never experienced that with a bow. I'd only used it about 3-4 months in total, once per week. It was quite a shocking experience and I was very upset for a while, but I'm currently in contact with Alibow now who've said they have warranty on their bows, I am awaiting their verdict after sending them photos of the delamination - but honestly, the Kheshig is genuinely such a beautiful and balanced bow that I would still recommend anyone to buy it for their arsenal. Maybe if another Kheshig split on me I'd be put off after that, but it's great enough for me to go back and get another without a doubt. Hope that's good info for you!

My AF Archery Han bow arrived today, my first Asian thumb release bow. The build quality is amazing at this price point IMO (US $69), no "cracks or pops" when I first pulled the string back, easy to string. Using a thumb ring, I shot a few to ground with an old arrow to get a feel, felt good, solid, light. I'm impressed. I'll give it a go at the range this weekend. Very happy so far. If this goes well, I'll be getting an AF Kadesh eventually, my next is an AC Archery Traditional Mongol bow. Thanks again for your demonstration and review, Armin.

I am thinking about buying this bow. I ordered a xuanwu by Alibow and it broke in production so they have to make a new one.... I have no more patients to wait any longer. I want a 30 pound bow and every one else in my club uses 35 pound and up. So I have been using a 35 pounds bow a friend lend me. But it would be so nice to have a lighter bow. So maybe I can use this one till my Alibow arrives.

@@ArminHirmer I ordered some bamboo Manchu arrows from Sarmat, but I cannot find non bamboo wooden manchu arrows. Traditionally my sources all say that they used poplar/birch instead of bamboo for some reason. I just wanted to do as was done because I tend to think they had a good reason for doing it. I'll have to email alibow and ask them if they'll make some special fletching for me at least. I'm sort of new to all of this.
@gussie88bunny
@gussie88bunny 4 года назад
The very long draw Chinese bows used lots of different arrow materials, depending on time period, region and the use of the bow. Poplar and birch arrows were absolutely on the list, usually barrel tapered and quite thick. This made them heavy but streamlined, great for piercing deeply through armour or big game hunting. The barrel taper made them stiffer for a given overall arrow weight, which probably helped with some of the crazy heavyweight bows they used. It wasn't just the Turks and English using mega bows, Chinese right up there with them in bow power. Accordingly, unless you're hunting large animals or have a problem with armoured invaders on your front lawn, arrow material is a matter for your tastes and budget.
