Unfortunately, nurses seem to be the only care workers who are recognized. There are many other health care workers that support patient care. The nurses have powerful unions. it seems unfair that other professionals in lab, diagnostic imaging, physio and OT, many office workers, medical records, maintenance, biomedical engineering transport and unit clerks who work just as hard are not recognized.
