Very impressive collection. I have to show real restraint when I see one at the flea market. They're so pretty.....

I was just thinking about building a tool cabinet and thought about putting them in a drawer just as you did!

Nice video Tommy! Hey can you do one talking about your workbench set up sometime? I always get some great tips I’ve never seen before. Thanks, good info, and that plane shelf is wicked nice.

I have a total of 19 Lie Nielsen planes. I tried but I can’t pick a favorite. I can pick some I like more than the others though. It’s taken me over 30 years to acquire them and I’m eyeballing the scrub plane for my next one. My rarest is the #1 1/2 plane. It’s about the same width as the 1 but longer. Very cool plane that I don’t really use because of its scarcity. I have all three sizes of shoulder planes and honestly I use them all. I love using the router plane because it’s calming and faster than pulling out an electric router. At my age I can hardly lift my #7 so I don’t think I’ll be getting that one. I also really like using both the #60 1/2 and #9 1/2 block planes but I don’t think they make the 9 1/2 anymore. I have maybe 3 more to buy but that will be determined not by what I want but what I can’t live without. Thanks for covering these hand tools on today’s episode. It’s always a good episode when you are using hand tools for one one of your builds.

I never saw the need to hang them on a wall. I keep mine in a drawer this way I don’t have to worry about it.
