Ha ha to be honest, I did the exact same thing. Saw the video was “ohhh… that’s what I was doing wrong. Hmmm… now, how the hell am I supposed to tie the thread? Then I noticed #2 in the name and started thinking “what are the chances…?”
I'll still don't understand if I'm meant to end up with a knot that ties both ends together and makes it impossible to take the needle off (which is what I've got now) or if the knot was only meant to be on one end.
I know this is late, but I believe it's because this is part of another video she did. I don't believe this is the original uploader. The other videos don't seem to have to do anything with sewing. Question Nikki: Once you have the hand knot at one end of the cord and the needle still "captured" other than cutting the loop how do you release the needle?
