This is Kawasaki Nate from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, I'm a true believer of these legendary motorcycles, I've owned 'bout thirty of them, had every year except the '73 Z-1 900!!! The 1973 Kawasaki Z-1 is my bucket list bike, had every year except the '73!!! These Kawasaki's are no joke, for a 51 year old motorcycle, it could still whip the shit out of a Suzuki Hayabusa, that's a fact, saw it happen!!! Great Video, Kawasaki Nate, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

I have been watching a great many of your videos but this one really got me. We seem to have lived parallel lives. So much in common! Keep making videos Chris!🇺🇸

I bought a brand new KZ900 in 1976, wish I still had it. Sold it and later bought a 1988 ZX10 Ninja, which I still have. Great bikes!

Damn nice! Both awesome bikes for sure. Although the kz900 had that awesome 70s styling! And air-cooled

Just found your channel through a tool cart video. When I heard you say KZ guy 2 my ears perked up and I replayed it about a dozen times. I too am a KZ holic and have been since 1980 when I got my 1979 Blue KZ 650 that was tricked out by the previous owner ( Miami drug dealer). I sold it a few years later.I now have another KZ this time a 77 all original except for Dunstall exhaust ( they look like original till you see the baffles. And the fuel petcock. I have had it for 1 1/2 years and still can't find a stock/not pingle petcock. Sorry for the book but KZ fans are few and far between. Oh lord wouldn't you buy me an old KZ, all my friends ride Harley's I must make amends.😂.thanks for the videos/new sub

Took my motorcycle road test on a 1978 kz750 LTD with expired plates when I was 18, but they never noticed 😂

Awesome 👍 my second bike was the 1978 kz1000ltd. Your video brings back a lot of memories. I did a lot of work to mine. Dina 3 electric ignition upgrade. K&N filter charger upload with tapered carburetor needles and re-jeting. Kerker 4 into 1 and Supertrap add on. Back in the day.. Early 80's. We lived 20 minutes away of New England Driveway. Motorcycle drag racing on Sunday. Everyone was running KZ1000's. There were like out-of-the-box street dragsters. Most of the drivers were selling second hand parts in the pits. Trying to make extra cash to support their motorcycle racing habit. I scored myself a set of oversized head bolts. One of the guys showed me how to set up my carburetor rack with a feeler gauge. And then he showed me how, when you double check it out on a mercury gauge it was dead-on. Hahaha 😆 bringing back the memories. Your dad lives across town for me in the Philippines 😁 Awesome RU-vid channel 👀👍👍🙌

Sweet man! Always good to hear from a fellow KZ1000 owner. Mine also has the Dyna ignition. I bet you probably saw a lot of those Kawasaki H2 back in the day too. I've always wanted to own one.

I've always adjusted the throttle plates by eye and then used Mercury gauges. Never tried the feeler gauge method. But sounds like it works good

Great bike. My father had one. Wasn't a fan of the stepped seat. Nothing sounds better than a KZ with a 4 into 1
@NoNonsenseKnowHow
@NoNonsenseKnowHow 4 года назад
Yeah man for sure. These bikes will probably be pulling in big dollars one day. I never liked the look of the stepped seat but it was certainly more comfortable to ride especially when ripping on it. My 1978 KZ that I have right now had the flat seat on it but I swapped it out for a step seat. LTD seat
