You popped up in my feed again! Been watching a shit ton of skate content since I said I don't watch any... Your words rang in my head a bit, and decided fuck it & bought a new setup for the first time in 20 years I think... been at least 10 years since getting on a board, still got my balance & pushing came back pretty quickly (was a lil sketch at first), but my leg muscles have totally faded away lol... can't even ollie well, can still land a pop shove though! need to grow them back again.. although 44 now so not as easy as it once was I guess... Anyway good work keeping at it bro! Btw threw a like and a sub your way :) I also just put new bushings on, thunder 100s, found out the tensor maglight ones are 90 which didn't work to well with my 90kg frame... need to lose some weight, but the 100s should help in the meantime hehe
Nice one dude, that's awesome! It'll come back to you soon enough, just be patient with it, have fun and don't stress it! Yeah a decent set of bushings makes a big difference, you'll soon figure out your own preferences though. Personally I like Bones Hardcores, they seem to last pretty well👌

I understand the funky session... i try to tell myself that you have to have bad ones, so you know how great the good ones are... not many times but a few times i cut it short and avoided forcing something, possibly getting hurt. One of the benefits to being an adult skater... patience
Yep, patience, hindsight and maybe even a little bit of foresight goes a long way. The main thing for me if I'm having a bad session is to at the very least have fun even if it's just cruising and catching a breeze. There was nothing fun about that session 🤣
Fresh setup will make a big difference mate, it just fills you with confidence. You’re sick with that handboard mate, looking forward to seeing the video your talking about.

That is a lot of time on board, bushings, and wheels. A fresh setup will be crazy. We won't talk about how many sets of trucks boards and wheels I have been on in that same amount of time. I have what is called a problem. Looking for to seeing what is next. Do a setup video. People like those.
It really is even for me. I have what's called a tight wallet 🤣 I plan to do a setup video but it'll be a few weeks away cos I've got a couple of ideas I want to do before then. Stay tuned, and stay rad 👊
