The best thing is to cut your opales. This way you will know for sure what you are selling and also you can be unique.

How is jewellery made really? 🤔 I never tried. I don't cut stones. But I have practiced making Cabachons with lapis and malachite.. I wouldn't even know where to find a piece of opal I could cut myself 😔. That's a great idea and I am super happy with your advice so big thanks, your shop looks like a whole lot of fun to work at... We do not have this silver in this because we do not work this metal. I'm sorry I can not help you out of my own experience. But, We have asked some silversmiths and pos problems can be: - Too high melting temperature due to the use of oxyacetylene. For silver, butane or propane is preferable with a non-oxidising flame. It takes longer to melt but the silver's copper is less oxidized. - The metal is contaminated (for any reason it is easy to be contaminated). Melt it well and use flux cleaner more normal flux. - Do not give a thermal shock when pouring it into the ingot mould. The ingot mould must be hot and put beeswax so that the ingot does not stick. You can also smoke it before seeing the ingot. - You have to reheat the metal when you change the dimensions more than 30%. I would like to find a solution to your problem but we do not work with money. If you see that it keeps cracking, put it in H2So4 to clean the oxides and melt it again.

What we sell online has a link in the description. If we give 100 photos to an opal, it will come out in 100 ways. The opals have to be seen in person and, with different sources of light. This ring, and other rings with opal, can be seen in our physical store only. We are not cheap but we are affordable! Coly
