A rich true bass who could sing coloratura. Pretty rare in the days since WW I.

@arpeggio1358 I'm pleased that you like it. I'm in the process of transferring more of the performance from tape to digital file. I think there is a duet with Ramey and Juno just after this part. When I get to it I'll upload it.

What is the name of Ramey's air that starts at 4:42? I adore it, and being a baritone and voice major at college would very much like to get a piano reduction of this piece. :)

Thanks you for loading this - a superb, glorious evocation by one of the best basso voices ever to sing. Such robust resonance, musical light and engaging intelligence. I'm not surprised that Jerome Hines may have been an influence. In them, the basso at its best!
