I find watching your videos is so calming. You perform excellent work, it amazes me how calm the horses are when having their shoes replaced. Truly fascinating to watch. Thank you for your channel ☺️
Hey jake! Im looking to become a farrier once i finish school, i pick my GCSEs this year but im unsure which to pick and what to do once i finish school, would you mind helping me out with some advice/ which GCSEs to go for? Thanks!
Yes, if you hold the shoe on there for too long because the heat penetrates in through the non sensitive into the sensitive sole & it can cause the horse discomfort for as much as a fortnight. Burning the shoe on is important to do because it levels out any of the the high spots missed with the trim, it helps accurately seat in the clips & it kills any flora & fauna within the hoof, but it's important to do it as conservatively as possible to avoid scorching the hoof.
