Love the vid just wanted to make one correction to help people with a problem I had. A lot of people are measuring the straps at 22mm but they are actually 20mm. I ordered a few 22mm for mine and they didn’t fit so i had to use 20mm and it’s perfectly. Great video i just don’t want people to make the same mistake I did

Nice review! I'd love to get one of these. I have an affordable watch collection of Seikos, G-Shocks, Citizens, Orients and 1 vintage Elgin. $500 is my most expensive watch. I'd buy two Omega X Swatch MoonSwatches.

I just got this watch don’t listen to any haters , the band it comes with is actually sturdy and the specs on the dial are very nice has nice weight to it and is actually extremely light weight , doesn’t look like cheap plastic it’s pretty nice and I think you guys will love it if you go get it.

Really good review, im just not sure about the leather band on this watch (or any swatch). IMO these should live on a nato or soft rubber straps. BTW just picked one up today in vegas!

The Mission to Saturn dial reminds me of "Cogsworth" the clock in the animated Beauty and the Beast Disney movie from 1991. I can't not see it anymore. Good vid. Keep at it!

I think your review is spot on. i Think the second hand misalignment is just a reminder that this is a plastic watch with a cheap quartz movement. But I do love the collaboration between OMEGA and Swatch. I would definitely buy one at retail, only.

You can see misaligned second hand even in more expensive quartz watches, like Victorinox or Tissot, which are of much better quality compared to Swatch.

@@bostonskiherbaciarz Ill say most quartz are very slightly misaligned very rarely as misaligned as the video here but the major difference is that it takes a few mins fix but the the swatch on the other hand is permanent as you can't take it apart without breaking the case. Unfortunately it's the nature of quartz to become misaligned eventually with use, any decent tap/bump to the watch can nudge the movement off Centre very slightly. Only exception to this are those movements which will realign for you based shadow + light which are all 600USD+

You never buy it coz this is limited series what only available in some offline stores. But even is stores they are not in stock anymore, and online they will never be in stock too as swatch says. Better buy a real speedmaster and be cool.

I have seen and owned many quartz watches and its more surprising to see the seconds hand aligned than not. Just picked up mission to mars today in vegas and its a cool watch. On mine, the hand actually aligns which is a nice surprise.

You can readjust the position of all the dials pulling the windup knob to half position then hitting the stopwatch buttons.

I wouldn’t necessarily call the ghost date an issue in this case. You need that position to reset the center chrono hand and the tenth subdial if they get moved out of position. The furthest position (time set) only resets the chronograph minute hand.

If your hands are missaligned you can correct it by pulling out the crown and push the chrono pushers.

My wife and I are on holiday in Vienna, Austria. Here there is an abundance of these watches and it is easy to purchase what you want. There are also no lines. Frankly, I don't that they are overly interested.

Not for me at all. Would be cool to see Omega on my wrist but maybe one day I'll get a real Omega. But ultimately it doesn't matter that it's not for me. Lots of people seem to like these watches and that's great. I can still collect my Laco's and Zelos etc. That's the great thing, there's always watches for everyone's tastes.

The Swatch marketing machine has created a 'manufactured scarcity' and has folks standing in long lines for them and being resold on eBay for 3x the MSRP. Wild.

I don't think there's enough manufacturing capacity anywhere to meet the initial demand, this was inevitable. They probably sold a couple of hundred thousand watches. Hopefully they will be able to catch up to demand.

You do know that this hyped product will also bring botters? Online stock will be devoured by bots. Not sure it everyone realizes this, since it's never mentioned. Stop saying that this will be available online. This will be difficult to get for retail regardless of this fact.

That Mars Swatch is so sick. Not to mention I'm saving about $9750 on the actual Omega Speedy Alaska Project Watch. Everybody needs to calm their tits. Yes the hands aren't perfect, cheap Quartz etc...but even our beloved Seiko SKX was off and misaligned. Yet, people still love that watch and I make it part of my rotation.

I could see this as a happy meal toy, except happy meal toys don't bleed on your wrist. Seriously guys this is about as insane as paying thousands if not millions for a Pokemon card, or thousands over msrp for a Rolex. The only difference is it's insane to even pay the retail price for this. You are only paying for that name, that's it. The human condition is a fascinating thing. Hate to sound like a hater but I do. I hate it.

@@bber45 I'm not a watch snob. I don't own a watch over $1000. I'm talking about brand prestige. This blurs the line in a way that can only hurt Omega amongst the consumers that seek prestige watches. A good product but ill suited to the brand isn't necessarily good for a brand name...in fact, a shitty product can be put out, and as long as it maintains the perception of the brand, it does little damage to the brand. Who knows...maybe I'll have a 30 year career in Advertising someday. ;)
