I am looking forward to your future G9 II content. Thanks for the tip on B and H regarding not having to proceed with your trade in. I'll be buying it this week. I would love to see a future video on autofocus, specifically how AF behaves when there are multiple people in the scene. Also, I am assuming you are shooting manual focus often. I just don't see how it can be done with moving subjects. Peak focusing often looks to subtle for me. Have a great 2024 and I hope you channel grows.

Looks good and compact, do you use the XLR adapter for a left side hand grip or do you support the camera with left hand under battery. I think I would want a grip on left side.

Hold camera in right hand, support underneath with left hand + manual focus

Great rig! But how do put this on a tripod with that battery underneath?

The battery has 1/4-20 threads for mounting points built in on the bottom. Works great!

Hello sir, It is a request from my side that, if possible, can you try adapting lenses to the G9 II to see how the autofocus works? As we know in the S5ii it works amazingly. I heard that the Viltrox adapter works with continuous autofocus for adapting ef lenses. No one has done this video and I am on a budget and have recently purchased the G9 II, the review would really help me and probably a lot more people.

I don’t own a Viltrox but could give it a shot with a Metabones. I like the idea!

Thanks for the video.. great rig, really well thought out! Quick question though, I heard somewhere that the G9ii’s display shuts off with an external monitor, does the G9ii display and Shinobi display stay on at the same time? Thanks again for sharing that rig set up, it was really helpful!

No, the G9II display doesn’t shut off. Both displays work but you do lose the info overlays on the camera lcd when you display overlay info on the Shinobi.

Thanks, that’s great to hear! Kinda interesting that it works that way.. I have a GH5m2 and Ninja V. The GH5ii has a setting that allows you to shut off the display overlays from showing on a monitor, or you can have it on both. I guess all the different Lumix cameras have their own little differences in how they function. Thanks again for the great info. I am now another step closer to getting a G9ii!
