I'm gonna be so real I've been sleeping thru my phone alarm for the past couple weeks and it's SO easy to hit snooze. I may just get one of these to incentivize and gamify waking up for myself.
I didn't think the square screen was all that noticable. Sure, there was a bit of glare in the video, which made it more obvious. I imagine a circular screen of this particular size would probably have had to be custom-made for Nintendo, which would have had a considerable effect on the price of the device. It was probably just easier (and also, less financially risky) to find a supplier that already offers a particular size of rectangular screen.
@@haukenot3345This device doesn't cost Nintendo more than 10$ to manufacture, circular screens *are* readily available and for cheap. They voluntarily chose not to put OLED to save money, which is what people are expressing their disappointment with.
Lol, you'll end up buying one, I've heard a hundred people today say the same thing, and within a couple hours already ordered one. Actually, most smart clocks are around this price. Add the Nintendo theme with free future downloads (Animal Crossing and Mario Kart) by the end of the year it's not horrible.
I saw in another video that if you let the Mario timer go longer than 20 minutes, the song changes. My friends and I were wondering when the Breath of the Wild one goes for longer than 20 minutes, does it play the Guardian theme?
so you don't need to be a nintendo member to purchase these nintendo online products? You can just go to the real world store to get these (and the exclusive controllers)?
I had to buy one of these from a store in Japan because I am not a Nintendo Switch Online Service member. So I will be able to set the alarm to English?
Nice hands on! May I ask if Alarmo has the function that it can calibrate the time itself through the WiFi? Therefore we don't have to do it manually every once a while.
I put on headphones to hear what I think I'm hearing more clearly. That faint music from Mario 3D Land and Nintendo Land, is that coming from the clock during menus, or did you just edit that in.
I don't like how you have to download the rest of the games. I'd understand for new games that haven't released yet but why isn't animal crossing on there day 1? It's $100..
Why couldnt it work? This concept isnt New. Youd need a Bluetooth connection, or wifi. Host a webpage on the alarmo wifi and be done, or use an app with BT
@@Jonas-tc8qt If the Alarmo doesn't have Bluetooth, and you're yet to configure a WiFi connection, there's no way to transfer data towards the device. Of course, your suggestion to have the Alarmo host it's own WiFi just for configuration purposes might work. That's an option I didn't consider.
@@DanPar I haven't used an Echo, so maybe I'm lacking imagination. My reasoning was that, without a WiFi connection configured, you can't really transfer information to the device. Jonas's suggestion to have the Alarmo host it's own WiFi just for configuration purposes might work though.
