I thought the same when you first looked at the pit, I’m surprised it was not overflowing. No surprise that pump only lasted a year though. That mfr’s high quality has gone right down the toilet the last several years, in my opinion.
Brian if u go back to that job to replace the pump don't buy a zoeller pump they're complete junk and don't last . Liberty makes a decent sewer ejector pump I've replaced 4 or 5 burnt pumps (wipes) with liberty with no call backs
Ok so wtf is going on there? Does the poop & whatnot get dumped into the basin and then pumped to the sewer? I've seen a lot of stuff, but never seen that !!
this is usually installed in a house if it has to go up hill to get to the city sewer, also cities have big setups like this placed in different areas of town that pump sewer waste water up grade to the sewer plant.
I worked on a dual ejector station the other day. I pulled a rag out of the impeller. I removed a plastic tampon holder from one of the 3/4 inch copper priming pipes. Foreign debris will kill outflow.
Yea I would have looked into it further but I lost on the job they o ly pay a hour for diagnosis and I was over that. Everytime it seams like I try to help out I lose more!
typical of that line of work, some days go easy and you're the "Great Handy Man", other's go sideways and you appear like the "Un-Handy Moron". 🤪 some of us know all too well, it's very easy to get bitten in the rear, especially when you're in a hurry and it's the last job/late in the day 🥳
I worked 4 years for a large company as a pump station tech. And one day when our coworkers from a different dept. came to one of the pump stations to remove a broken channel grinder the was 3 baseball sized plastic balls stuck on the inlet side covered in shit n toilet paper quite strange as to how those got there
I've already lost money on that job, they only pay a hour for diagnosis and I was past that. I've learned me trying to help out usually only screws me and my time.
So what did she decide to do? It has to be fixed so I don't get why you just left. Should've at least pulled the pump and see if you can get it running. Is she just gonna rent a porta john?
That's a rap , that is the first video i have seen on youtube that a condom was the issue, i hope more people see this video, landlords need to tell the tenants do not flush this, why did this house have a ejector pump? was it pumping up hill?
