I recognize that parking lot you are in at the beginning. 😁. I used to service the Goodwill Store a little south the that Menards, as well as several other locations up and down the main n/s road there. Seeing you deal with that mailbox base reminds me, I’m faced with removing the concrete I foolishly used to set my mailbox in back in 1984. The old treated 4x4 has just about had it. I keep putting it off, I don’t want to do it!
HAHAHAHA....hey Genius, try putting some plywood on the grass as a pad for the foot of the Jack...that was you're 1st fail...2nd fail was not driving a few spikes (6" nails) 2" into the 4x4 (at bottom & up about 12 inches, on all 4 sides ) this will give the concrete something to grab onto and give the post 10x more stability. Or, you can also drill two 1/2 holes 10" apart and use some rebar 12" long (1 bore hole front to back & 1 side to side) to achieve the same goal. Trust me, you'll never set another post in the ground without doing it this way...so simple !
I worked a 6" floor drain for 2 hours today. Failed. I could feel the sand and dirt, just couldn't punch it. Warehouse kept dumping thier water from the driving floor scrubber in it. Told them to call a jetter truck company.
thats funny i just used some of those red head wedge bolts from home depot the other day to bolt my well pump house to the cinder block footer i built and i ended up snapping off one of them they are made from some soft ass metal
You call it a fail, but if you're not willing to fail, you will never learn the tricks that make you efficient. I also took away a trick just from you. I never used the farm jack in a tripod position. Keep it up and never be afraid to fail.
My day starts 9:30am. Unless I have to get into an attic in the summer, then 8 am. I never work past 2 pm either, old and I will not miss my afternoon nap!...
Utube handyman I just watched ur latest vid good stuff man!! 👍 yea lol I like to start early I get more stuff done lol 😆 I'm weird. There is not enough time in the day
CLICK BAIT! WOW you moved on with "PLAN B" all the while getting the shotz, txs for sharing (the concrete was like a mortar mix is why your anchors didn't hold)
