You did good on that ceiling drywall work, and I can't even tell it was patched. For those complaining about drywall mudding, the key is to get the correct consistency and always feather the edges. Scrape/sand high spots and fill low spots. Watch a few Vancouver Carpenter videos and then practice, practice, practice. I just finished removing all the wall texture in my garage, fixing about 50% of the tape joints, and skim coating everything smooth. It took an enormous amount of time, but I started out with almost no drywall mudding experience and none of the proper tools. Now I have all the tools and the experience to tackle any drywall project. The garage turned out great. It's not possible to tell it was skim coated or ever had texture before.
Dude I love that guy! Lol that guy is hilarious 😂 that guy is amazing at drywall. People like that make me mad, there just like u do it like this (and they do gorgeous work) lol 😆
Good job 👍 I’m so bad at sheetrock and tape/bed/texture, i would have spent several hundred bucks to get a fan unit same size or larger than the original one.
Thanks!!! Yea each coat is supposed to go out further and further. Lol but yea I definitely wanted to get it done so 1 coat it is and it didn't turn out bad at all. The secret is that palm sander it makes things so much easier to even stuff out. Lol I sand alot off that's how you could tell I'm no drywaller.
Turned out great Brian! You might consider using insulated exhaust fan ducting in the future. I have seen the warm moist air being vented by the exhaust fan discharged into the uninsulated duct and condense in the pipe when it hits the cold attic (in winter) and form water droplets and potentially cause issues with the fan itself or cause condensate to accumulate in the pipe and cause issues with the drywall if there was a hole in the exhaust pipe where the water could escape...
@@thehandymanexperience226 Dang... I also have a water damaged sink cabinet base that's bowed out. Thought about replacing it but make it removable. The p trap is so low it's hard to get a pan underneath for servicing. For now, I just primed/caulked and used some leftover white semi-gloss that was used from the bathroom refinish. Did the trick!
