Hey Joy. I don't know what it is; when I see a new video from you I get all happy and giggle. You have such a nice personality and your fun to watch. I got off work and when I got home I saw that a new video came out and so I got myself a hot cup of coffle and now I'm gonna sit here and watch you and others. Love your quilts. Can you make another quilt; I like your videos so much humor in them.
I just love your no nonsense way! I’ve made a few crumb projects. It always reminds me of how my grandmother quilted. Never ever bought yardage. It was always to repurpose old clothing, etc. I would just love your crumb quilt!❤️
Oh my goodness! You have been bitten by the Kimberbell bug! I was bitten about 4 years ago and what a ride it has been. I have made so many pillows, quilts, wall hangings, bench pillows, table toppers, mug rugs. I love Kimberbell but as you discovered, they are so expensive.
Love your new house Joy and seeing all the beautiful quilts going up …all very exciting. I would love to meet your friend Philly ..I bet you two are a hoot together 🤣😘
Finally someone is calling this shoulders pattern issue out! A bigger bust doesn’t mean your shoulders have grown by XXX inches! I’ve thought this for ages. Thank you Joy. That sewing thread mini quilt is just lovely. I may have to try something similar and make it a sewing machine mat. And I don’t think I could ever get tired of you Joy - you always make me smile. 😄
I love the little quilts. I am trying to find smaller projects to do. I sure will order through your Amazon store. Love watching you. So many wonderful hints and useful products.
Hey, Joy Joy! It’s me, Phylly. I want to explain what I am doing on my Celeste pattern. My upper bust is 38” so I found the pattern size that had the B cup size as 38”. That is a size 8 in the Itch to Stitch Pattern, Celeste. Since I am an F cup size I found the largest cup size and looked for my 44” bust size in the DD cup size. I found that under the size 12DD. I printed out the pattern with multiple sizes and drew out from the size 8 in the shoulder area and brought it out to the size 12 in the bust and the rest of the way down. My hope is that I won’t have to even do an FBA. But if I do, it shouldn’t be any larger than an inch. That will be so much easer than my usual 3” FBA. I won’t know until I pin the pattern together and try it on. By the way, since I wind up with multiple paper cuts using copy paper, once I get the pieces taped together, I trace my size off on pattern paper. Oh, and if you noticed, my spool in the top left corner must be setting on a bobbin because it is a lot closer to the binding than the others. I am not a perfect piecer.😊
That is ROCKET SCIENCE Phylly! I don't know if I could do that in the Celeste sizing. Since I have mine all taped together, and I have made it once, I just shaved some off the paper pattern in the shoulders and the sleeves and I shaved off some from center front down to the waist. Like a tiny piece of pie. 1/2" starting at the top CF and down to nothing at the waist. Learned that from PS -- your favorite. LOL
@@Joy4650B Well, we will remember it for the next time we use a pattern with cup sizes. Although I would like to disagree because you got the information from PS and you know I think she is an idiot, it will probably work. LOL. TT you later.
You are such a nut! I tried that trick once before on a gaping neckline, and it worked fine on whatever that garment was. We shall see. I'm going to try a tulip from JoAnn version, and hope for the best. Don't know how many days we will be at the other house, but I am taking several projects. I'll wait to get back to start scissors with you.
Oh Joy !!! I never get tired of your videos !!! I love your little quilts !!! I enjoy the sewing theme !!! I am really in awe of the quilt you designed with the beach theme !!!
Hi JOY! I love the little quilts you are doing! The book is out of my price range but I love watching what you do! I live in a 1 bedroom senior housing building and little quilts would be great here! Jerry and you are made for each other! Thank you for your video's!
I am like you and have to have scissors in every room. I love crumb quilts, just give it time and you will finish it and it will come out wonderfully. Don’t worry about what others think quilts are to be. You be you! That’s what we love!
Hi joy I enjoy your videos I am glad you moved and are closer to family and friends. Yes I would love to receive your crumbs for the quilt praying for her friend Terry
Hello Joy, I would love to have your crumbs to quilt 😊. Love your little wall quilt , the thread spools 🧵 are too cute! Can’t wait to see your other 2. Safe travels going between houses. I’ll keep Terri in my prayers 🙏
Love all your quilts Joy❤ They sure look nice in your new home.Would love to see you and Philly in a video together. I so enjoyed when you two did the “staycation” one. Will be saying prayers for Terry. 🙏
Love my hang it dang it’s. I make a split hanging sleeve for the back of my quilts so that I can keep the clip on the rod and just slip the rod into the sleeve. The clip peeks out of the split in the center of the hanging sleeve.
I have done that before Ann. I'm wondering if you could put a few "belt loops" across the smaller quilts and it would work. Those sleeves are a lot of work.
Wonderful video. Loved your little quilts. I’m not too crazy about Kimberbell either. To expensive for what you get plus you need to get the added items!
Hi Joy! I just got back into town after spending a lovely weekend with all my sisters💕 I’m catching up on your videos😊 How are things going? Last week one of my nieces came over and I taught her how to use a sewing machine (in my new itty bitty sewing room) and we just had a blast!😀 Anyway, I’m still super excited for you and all your amazing new sewing and quilting rooms! And I’m also so happy for you that you are so close to Phylly! What a gift!❤️ Chat soon!
Thank you. Yes, Phylly and I are enjoying being close to each other. My sewing rooms are almost all organized. Day by day -- as you know. How wonderful to have time with your sisters. How many do you have?
Hey Miss Joy, I love your small quilt. Praying for your friend Terry. It would be great to get to meet Philly. Praying y’all have a safe trip home. God bless y’all! 😀❤️
Cute spools quilt. Those three will be nice on your wall. I would love to get your crumb quilt. You are so lucky to have such a good friend as Philly. Love your videos.
I’m an Old subscriber and you tube have not been reminding me! It’s nice to see you in your new home. Yes it’s lovely to have a sewing buddy. Philly must be enjoying having you close.
I am so happy to see another video from you! I don’t have anyone in my life who enjoys sewing and I tell my husband that you are my sewing friend that I don’t know. 😂 your quilts are so beautiful! I want to try making a quilt but am afraid it will be too complicated. I will pray for your friend.
Love your quilts and they look beautiful on the walls. Your new home is so cheery and bright with those paint colors. I wish I was close enough to you so I could come over and quilt and sew up some blouses. I would love to see Philly, she is so much fun to watch. I will keep Terry in my prayers and blessings to you and Jerry. Be safe out there when you travel and don't lift anything heavy!!!
Thank you much for sharing your days love to hear from you. I love the baby quilts. I’m going to try to order to make them. Be safe on your trip to your new house. I would be interested in the crumbs. They are great to make lap blankets to donate to the nursing homes.
I'd LOVE the crumbs. I like to make nice, but inexpensive things, that people who don't have much money can buy for gifts. Because, everyone likes to give gifts for birthdays, and holidays...even those with little money.
Hi Joy I always enjoy your videos! I often go back and view your tutorials before I take on my next project. You are very energetic and entertaining 😁 Also I try to buy my sewing items from your store first. Thank you!
I love you bright and cheerful you always are. I find Indie patterns fit me better than the big 5. I don't have shoulder fitting problems, choosing my size according to upper bust, so I find your problem rather strange. Your top looks good at any rate. Love your quilt hangers, they are brilliant, and I can get them here in the UK! I adore your mini spool quilt, too. I'd love your crumbs, but I'm in the UK, so shipping would be too expensive. I have made a few crumb quilts, most have gone to charity, but my cats claim them if they can 🙂 Sending prayers for Terry.
I would even come and get your crumb quilt scraps. And i loved your beach scene quilt you designed. Also i like the multi-colored top you had on. Just had to comment again.
Joy, so glad to see your video this morning. Your vlog is aptly named as you just bring joy in your videos. I will definitely pray for Terry. Sorry this had to happen to her. I have never had much luck with indie patterns, my favourites are the Big 4. I cannot get Simplicity where I live unfortunately. The doll clothes are adorable. I don’t think we have anything similar to that charity here, but it is something that is dear to my heart. I am so saddened when I hear of children being abandoned, not having enough to eat or just being in an horrific situation. God has done amazing things for me in the past 3 1/2 years and I couldn’t be more grateful. I love our Lord. Hope you have a good trip to your other home and return safely.
Joy I'm sitting here making a apron while watching your video And I agree with you about bust adjustments I feel like these companies think we're all cooking cutters and we're not
Joy, I’ve been sewing crumbs onto adding machine tape cut into about 13 inch strips. They’ll be sewing into borders on several of my next quilts. Think I saw it on Karen Browns Just Get it Done Quilt channel on RU-vid. Fun and relaxing way to use up small scraps. I just sew a few at a time and pile them up.
Hi Joy I watched you for many years and then I stop watching you then I started watching you again and you are a hoot love you and I pray for your sick friend and Lord willing God will take her through this and thank you so much for your humor I totally enjoy it you make me laugh! Oh by the way I love that floral blouse that you’re wearing right now with a V-neck beautiful❣️🧵✂️🪡 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 I do believe in the power of prayer God is good
Hi Joy, would love ur scraps as I am a beginner quilter and would truly appreciate ur scraps so I can practice my seams. So many videos say that perfect quarter inch seams are so very important. I would greatly appreciate it, a big fan of your channel, May
I am working on a scrap strings quilt now with 8 1/2” unfinished blocks. I plan to move on to crumbs next. These are fun to me and cleanse the pallet so to say before I start on something else. The kimberbell projects are adorable but no way I can afford the machine required.
Ho joy. I would LOVE to hv your crumb quilt leftovers! I would enjoy working with the pieces. Small beginning can make BIG results!. Thanķ you for your snoppets of time.
Oh so cute spools quilt and love your new top. Color is very flattering. I would love to finish the crumb blocks. Philly's turned out cute also. Joy it says embrodery machine, does it have to be done that way? I don't have an embrodery machine. I do have a fancy sewing machine. Joy as soon as you asked for prayers for your friend, I paused my video and asked for a healing for your friend and a fast reovery for this wonderful friend of yours. Thank your for telling us about her and her journey.
Yes I would love to see Philly and you sewing together. I’ll be saying prayers for Terry. Did you see my thing in your last video to use your phone or iPad camera if you don’t have your 3 way mirror yet or you are traveling? Use reverse on camera for better pictures. I’m still on vacation down here in Florida. Come Monday the 18th we have 2 weeks to go. Really enjoying my grandchildren. I’ve been working on my muslin bootstrap pants form. It’s coming along nicely. I am getting ready to do some bowl cozies for some friends down here in Florida.
Hello! I screw nailed the black hanger portion to the wall and I put the bar into the clamp as I need it. Then I can take the quilt down, wash it, and put it back.. purpose is to have a more secure placement
