Wow, anyone would be lucky to stay in your airbnb, well done hunter, you did great, and to the little star, everett thank you for your great entertainment,
Your videos make me happy. So relaxing and such a beautiful family. I love your little shopping bud Everett. He’s a trooper, well all y’all are troopers. I’m watching from Farmington New Mexico. Never been to Alaska but I bet it’s beautiful. God Bless you and continue making great videos! 😊
The cutest scene in this episode was seeing You and Everett in your THIS ALASKA LIFE TSHIRTS, side by side. But then Everett cracked his first egg, took out 7 pans, sprayed with 2 fingers and look through the oven door and watched the bread bake. Thank you for such a great Monday morning. You climbed many mountains today. All the little details that oil the machine of your Family. I love to see all Parents do for their Children. You and Mark are super Parents. Thanks for your sharing time and opening your home.
Thank you so much Marcella! I am so glad I have those sweet moments recorded with Everett, he is growing up too fast! Thank you for your kind words, they encourage me to be a better parent and to continue to nurture those relationships. Thank you for watching and taking the time to connect. Have a blessed day!
Of course we only see what you will show but 29:52 in that moment Mark shows something that can‘t be staged and that just happens if it is quite normal: he checked something on his phone (as we ALL do) but he was much more interested in Everett andinstantly put his phone down without another glance to be in the moment with his son. That tells SO much more about your parenting than hiding ever could hide. I love that you never say „I help you“ or Just helps your kids but asking them if they want or need your help. That is so awesome!
Being the mom of 6, 5 which are boys, I know the laundry feeling. My kids are all grown now and married, but I still remember the never ending laundry.
Hello Diana! Thank you so much for watching. The laundry is never-ending but I am grateful to have all these boys so I won't complain too much! Have a wonderful day!
Recently I stumbled upon your channel and I just wanted to thank you for sharing bits of your life on here. Learning about (your families) Alaskan life has helped me through some difficult days the last couple of weeks. Greetings from The Netherlands 😊
You are so welcome! Thank you so much for being here and I am so glad you found our channel. Many prayers for you during these difficult times. See you soon in the next video!
Adore this Channel, Adore reading the Beautiful comments from around the world, Adore this Beautiful Soul Lauren, Mark, Weston, Bennett, Hunter and Everett oh and "luna" Adore Alaska. Please send Snow to my State of Victoria in Australia lol. Wonderful Video Thank you Lauren. My kindest thoughts to you and your families and Furbabies from Australia x
Just doing some catching up on my favorite family videos...it's Tuesday night November 16th here in Jefferson City Mo. about 10pm and it's 55 degree's (warmer tonight than it has been for the past couple weeks) by the time I get up at 5am it will be in the low 30's. So we are having a fall/winter this year...fall during the day, onset of winter during the night... I think it's amazing to watch you take the time with your babies and teach them to cook...not many people take the time these days to do that...warms this old woman's heart. You have a beautiful family God Bless
Thank you Michelle! Cooking and baking with them are some of my favorite times. I have fond memories of getting to bake with my Grandma. Thank you so much for being here, sending our love and prayers.
Hi Lauren. In NZ, we are in Winter at the moment, Spring is just around the corner, Sept 1st. Right now the top.of the South Island is experiencing torrential rain and flooding, for the third or fourth time this winter. I thankfully live in the North Island, but my heart goes out to all those who have had to evacuate and have homes and businesses that are damaged...thankfully no bridges have come down this year....one of the things that's been on my bucket list since I was a little girl is to see the Northern Lights, or even the Southern Lights. You have to be at the bottom of the South Island to see them from NZ. I just loved cooking with my son who's now 34 and married, but hopefully later next year I'll have a grandchild. One day I hope to cook and bake with a grandie, fingers crossed🤞. Everet did so well cracking and opening the eggs! Lots of love, Dee from NZ ❤️
Thank you Susan! I appreciate your kind words. Being parents is hard work but it is such important work. I am not always patient but try really hard to be. Thanks for watching, have a wonderful day!
Your boys are so cute. The girls will be lining up for a chance to go out with them. I really enjoy your family. Thanks for sharing your experiences and life with us. My husband and I are retired. We are hoping to make it up to Alaska one day. That would be our dream vacation. ❤❤❤😊
By the way beautiful day in Central Illinois, the leaves are bright and colorful on the trees, Pumpkin Latte's, about 60, drove around with windows down. But we know the wind on the Plains are drawing near. Daylight saving time sundown at 5:00. But sun up early. It kind takes getting used too. But the fields are all out.
That sounds wonderful! My in-laws are down south right now on a road trip and all of the photos look so nice with the Fall weather. It is 5 degrees here this morning so we are past fall and into the chill of winter.
I love getting to see the unit i was wondering what it looked like. It is very charming and well designed with everything needed to give a homey experience. Loved seeing Hunters race and Everett getting a cooking lesson. I so appreciate you teaching them how to cook. In todays world of both parents needing to work in most cases it's nice that dads can help mom with the cooking duties for the family. Very sweet!
Hunter and Shaun ran so well! Perhaps Hunter needs to tape his laces, that's what we did. You can use masking tape, but you can get elasticated sports tape that works better. You tie your laces and then tape around your foot or just onto the trainer to stop the laces getting caught on twigs or stepped on etc.
Thank you Rachel! We will have to do that in the future. We don't want him to be discouraged over laces, especially when that is such an easy trick. Thank you so much for watching!
You guys are awesome the way you all encouraged Hunter throughout the race. The confidence he will gain from that constant encouragement will help him succeed in all he does in life. Teaching him to believe in himself and not give up is one of the greatest gifts! He’s going to appreciate that so much when he’s older. Good job Hunter you did a great job!
We had a cool spell but today it was 82!! Leaves are pretty and falling on our property. We are ready for winter which usually isn’t too bad here in north Georgia.
I am so jealous ... I have wanted to see the Northern Lights forever! I had a trip planned to northern Norway in March 2020 to try to do so but, well, you know, COVID hit and all flightswere cancelled. But thankfully they are a wonderful yearly occurance and I have hope that I will be able and ready to eschedule the trip some time. SO happy that you got to see it, even if it is a harbinger of cold weather on it's way. So great that you have the kids in cooking and baking with you. That is how I learned to do it.... made lots of mistakes (half cup of salt instead of half teaspoon in a cake when I was 8 ... my Mum had the patience of a saint to help me deal with that failure)) but that is how we learn.
I hope you get to book that trip very soon! I hope we can make it to Faribanks sometime this winter to see a really good show of Northern Lights. I love baking with the kids, especially one-on-one. We have had a lot of mistakes as well but so many memories and success too. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment and connect with us! Have a blessed day!
@@ThisAlaskaLife - yes, the lights will keep shining and I will get to see them one day. My middle "boy" (38-y-o) is a wonderful cook.... better than I am because everyone allowed him to try, experiment, make mistakes and then excel. I bet you already get geat meals from your older boys.
What I love is the special relationship you have with Everett and all your family You all come together to help eachother with the creations you create Thank you for everything you do
It was fun to watch you and Everett baking, he did great with those eggs! The macarons were a nice treat for Hunter and the boys. I agree with you about appreciating good macarons, but to be honest I even like "not so good" macarons, they are my favorite cookie. The AirBNB looks so cozy, and you have thought of everything. A couple that I have stayed in were missing some very handy items that you have included, the kettle, and all the extra kitchen items are a plus. Great video!
Thank you Becka! I am so glad you enjoyed the video. Everett is now in LOVE with macarons, that boy has expensive taste. I had some in the past that I didn't really care for so I didn't know I would love them so much. Thanks for your kind words about the AirBNB, have a wonderful day!
No seasons here in the Philippines. Just summer almost all year round and then typhoons and rains. 🤣 I love living the island life but I want to experience change of seasons too.
We're in Eastern Washington. temperatures in the mid 40's during the day and we're getting rain 2 to 3 times a week. In case you didn't know we're dessert so it runs hot during the summer.
Yes, they do feel like a home away from home. We use AirBNB a lot when we travel because we like to be able to cook our own meals. Thanks for watching!
It's 10c in the uk and about 2c at night definitely winter is coming would love to visit Alaska I just love snow everett is so cute always happy and helpful love watching him at Costco
Thank you so much for watching! Winter is for sure on it's way. We are having very cold temps this week. I am glad you enjoy spending time with us, have a wonderful day!
Here in Colorado depending where you live is what weather you get, our winters are not like when I was growing up, the snow at least knee high, now days maybe lasting one day, currently it is dry but cold cold front coming though... 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Hello Cheryl! That sounds nice for today but 91 seems so hot for Fall. Do you love the heat or are you wishing for cooler temps? So glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!
Hi Lauren This Alaska Life, Everett is so cute! Everett did a good job! I love your hair! I love how you always keep your house so clean and organized! The pie and food looks delicious to eat! Another great video!
Thank you so much Bernice! Keeping the house tidy helps my sanity. Especially when covid hit and we were home more often. It gets messy but I can’t stand it for long. Thank you so much for watching!!
Hi Friends, I loved the movie length episode of what the Hamm Fam get up to over a few days. Is there anything Everett doesn't like food wise? I think he shares my passion for sweet treats although he's always willing to share with Mum, he is gorgeous. Congratulations Shaun and Hunter fantastic effort both of you, those Macaroons so well earned. Mark you are an awesome Dad riding along to encourage the boys. The Air BNB is so cute what a perfect home away from home. All the recipes looked delicious. Thanks for sharing. 👍
Sit back and grab some snacks for this long video! Thanks for sticking with me through the whole thing. Food wise Everett doesn't like tomatoes and that is all I can think of HAHA, I know there are more but he is pretty good about eating most things. Sometimes he refuses to eat altogether if you can believe it but that is just when he has snacked too much. Mark and I re-watched the race last night as we were going to bed and were laughing so hard at his cheering and the way people were staring at him, we loved it. I feel so proud of Hunter for working so hard! Thank you for being here, we feel so grateful!
Oh how fun watching y'all baking together. Everetts apron was so cute. Enjoy them while they are young cause they grow up so fast. Your smile and and gentle nature so heart warming. Please keep up the great work your doing. I look forward to seeing your videos . Stay safe and healthy
Glad you enjoyed it! I was amazed by all the footage I had when I sat down to edit but decided to just roll with it! Thank you so much for watching Natalie!
You changed my life! I always decorated everywhere for each holiday! I took your advice and left the “ work “ spaces not decorated! It works and I am so less stressed!
In St Louis our average overnight is 32 F and our days range between 40F and 50F and still every once in a while we sneek in a 60F. Sadly, those are coming to an end.😞
I’m in Puerto Rico so it’s always warm here. I love our climate but I’d lose my mind without air conditioning. 😂. I’m a single father, a firefighter and taking police academy courses right now. I want to get into crime scene forensics, but they require starting out as a police man first. I love my life. I have my kids full time.
@@ThisAlaskaLife I seen you show the snow at the end of the video they sure did get lucky. Thanks for sharing. Always look forward to the next video you post 🙂
Hi Lauren, it was so sweet to see Everett, helping you bake sorry to hear of your friends mom passing away & Hunter did a great job with his running. Thanks for sharing your air B&B very nice. Have a wonderful day
Thank you so much Kim. I will pass on your condolences to my sweet friend, these are hard times for so many. I am so glad you enjoyed seeing the race and the airbnb, have a wonderful day and thank you so much for being here!
We’ve had a lot wind and rain in Scotland although sunny today. The last 2 years we’ve had significant snow so I’ve bought new warmer outdoor wear as I was freezing last year. Your skirt is great idea as I bought a longer coat this year as well as a winter jacket. I’ve got a 3 year old and 3 month Labradors so I’m outside a lot. Really interesting video, loved seeing the airbnb and of course Everett xx
Longer jackets are so nice when it is cold and the skirts are helpful too. Always best to bundle up and take off layers rather than be freezing. I am so glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching!
Another great video! enjoyed baking especially your little helper, also a great race, dinner looked great and especially enjoyed the air bandb video till next time take care.
Glad you enjoyed it all! Took me much longer than I planned to get it all into the video but I am glad it all came together. Thank you so much for watching!
Lucky you. I want to see the Northern lights so bad. Here in Kansas we are having nice weather right now. In the 60's. Rain tomorrow then it is going to get cold down in the 40's for highs.
Love watching your channel. Your grocery hauls makes it possible to live in Alaska. Couple of questions, do you pay sales tax on food and/or other items?
Hello Mari! Thanks for watching! We do not pay sales tax on anything in Anchorage. Other cities in Alaska do have sales tax. We do not pay state tax, just property taxes. The state relies on oil taxes to run. Have a wonderful day!
