@@mcguirem that was pretty sweet off the top of my head I remember Cliff did harmonics lots I'm not sure pinch harmonics though how do you with your fingers? I do remember someone explaining they'd pick the note then immediately tap there artificial harmonic
@@mcguirem I remember doing it unintentionally when I just put another finger (right hand) on the string, playing and taking it off fast it's not that simple but something like that
@@mcguirem Bass artificial harmonics can be difficult but not impossible. Listen to the Intro to "Birdland" (the original Weather Report version) The intro is basically all bass harmonics
I'm not sure if it was intended to emulate their playing style or their persona, because the Marty solo didn't really have any of those melodic transitions and bent notes he likes to use, and Chris Broderick is probably the most relaxed, poised, and fundamentally sound guitar player I've seen.
The crazy thing is Chris Poland did solos on demo versions of Holy Wars... The Punishment Due, Rust in Peace... Polaris and Take No Prisoners. What could have been...
Seems like it would be harder to hear correctly and nail than the more accurate players. It's really a great effect like the whole world is tearing apart.
That is some of the most incredible playing I've seen in a long while. Btw praise for the attitude, playing standing up, singing at the same time and showing passion and raw energy. That was true metal
Holy shit! Have you done any other Megadeth vocal covers? Your voice is amazing! Also this video is awesome. And seeing Cliff Burton pleasantly surprised me.
The solo that introduces the key and tempo change at 2:47 is my all-time favourite... I was kinda anxious for you doing it in the original style of Friedman. Boy, did I smile and cheered when you actually did that! Awesome performance on everything else, all throughout - rhythm parts included!
Such a good idea and well executed. The vocals were surprisingly very good, every solo was comparable to the real deals. The bass solo was really good. My only gripe is that I don't feel it was cliff burton-esque enough. I don't wanna say it's easy to do it and I'm in no position to criticize but I do feel like it was his own style with hints and gestures to cliff. I still think it was a great solo and fit in the mix perfectly. Truly a master at his craft. Great video
Glen Drover was the most overlooked Megadeth guitarist in my opinion. The guy had amazing vibrato and playing style. He added is own flavor to te solos without taking the main parts away when playing live. Great video Shawn!!
Bro this is very sick, you nailed every megadeth guitar players playstyle from chris poland until kiko. Can u imagine all megadeth members having a reunion and played like this 🖤
your chris poland was perhaps the most spot on chris poland impersonation i've heard sounds like a mix between the demos he was on and his peace sells stuff.
In portuguese becase i'm not a great english speaker: Meus parabêns!!! Vc foi sensacional. Encontrou o estilo particular de cada um. Só sendo um metre da guitarra pra conseguir isso dessa forma!!
Superb work Man! 🤘🤘 , But out of all solo's the most badass is from Dave Mustaine, adding a whole new level raw and aggressiveness to complete the song
Dude, I was just jamming along with you guys, and I was just about to bust into Marty's second long solo (with all the slippy slidey parts) but I was stopped dead in my tracks as soon as I heard this guy shredding that solo on bass. I'm blown away. That can't be easy. You guys are both fantastic players. I'd love to jam with you guys some day.
3:48 Am I crazy or do you look a bit like younger Al? Shorter hair and a lower strap and I think there's a decent resemblance Great work on the video btw
Killer cover guys! Everyone was ON POINT (as another commenter alluded). Everything sounded great and all the styles of all the former (and current) players (and of course, Cliff -RIP) were outstanding!!!
Brilliant. Every style is very much on point! Vocals and production are great as well. As a Megadeth nerd, this is gold content. You deserve more subs! :)
I have already commented here, but man... your riffing is very precise, your vocals are amazing and of course mgrocki is killing in the bass :) You nailded every guitarist impression, specially Chris Poland, Al Pitrali, Glen Drover and Mustaine lol. This video is fuckin awesome, cheers man 🤟🇧🇷
