the author does like to from scratch, shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. ru-vid.comUgkxD-QRFQz730FJEh4f9BYSf-nkIMIC9hL_ as another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us dont have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we wont be able to practice the full stack project, is still great.

I'm a carpenter in England and to relax after a hard day of Carpentry, I watch Scott Brown Carpentry doing Carpentry. Seriously though I love the attitude you guys have to work. Nothing seems to be problem, just crack on with it. I know in reality this kind of work can be stressful but you have a very relaxing vibe and it's infectious.

We threw a pair of safety shoes and a pair of flip-flops under a truck, the flip-flops turned out to be fine, where the shoes obviously changed shape in a way what will cost a few toes. That is why flip-flops are the better option.

New Zealand has fewer old buildings than old Zeeland, could be more difficult to find such work for Scott

Cheers man, sounds like an interesting line of work. I'd love to do more of these projects. Generally speaking, the houses are a lot newer here in New Zealand and it takes a fair bit of investment to restore the old houses. I'm keeping an eye out for more work like this though, it's a challenge, but it's a good one.

Hi Scott. Quick tip, sorry if you already know it. Put your nail punch between the hinge leafs whilst the door is hanging. Hold the punch (watch your fingers lol) and slowly close the door until the hinge leafs bite and hold the punch, then put a bit of pressure on the door but don't fully close it. This spreads the hinge leafs and is great quick way to achieve margins. Cheers

Scott you may want to consider increasing the door undercut a bit... your toilet fan needs to pull make up air from somewhere and that’s through the undercut by the looks of it... otherwise it will likely whistle or have lower extraction The floor looks amazing! All doors have a wind. I love hanging doors. New and old. It’s a four dimensional puzzle that most in my area have zero patience for. I’m new to your channel, I appreciate the scale of variation you have and that your patient with all of them. As carpenters we do sooooooo many things in the home. We finish so many others trades. I do lose my head when a specialist does not do a complete job, I’m like, you had one job bro! Patients and passion are key. Have a good weekend and may your jobs be tighter, more efficient and more profitable than the last job.

I'm 9 weeks before the end of my apprenticeship. We now have to complete an EPA which means that in 9 weeks I need to be a confident Carpenter haha. I drive a Mercedes, (umm, work van) and can hang a door. You must be able to hang a door, cut stairs, and rafters, if you want to call yourself a carpenter. I remember putting a 100 yo door at a college. The original entrance door relocated to the new build principals office. The pressure was immense. Only newly qualified too

Not even pre hung doors are that simple to fit! Your either extremely lucky to have found the only 100 year old square door in existence or you used the magic of editing to make it look easy!

The only thing I like about this bathroom is the grey patterned hexagonal tiles. I liked the other Bathroom where Paerau did that little cardboard model, that turned out very nice once finished. I think the toilet in this new bathroom should be located exactly on the opposite wall. The walk way to the shower is obstructed by it. Most importantly, the visual aesthetic is not what you want to see when you open a bathroom door, it's usually tucked behind the vanity. But that usually comes down to the designer/architect's planning.

Great work as always. Two general questions. Do you prefer these larger, longer projects all at one location or do you prefer smaller and more varied jobs. Just curious. Also, do your family and friends bombard you with the "Scott Brown here.." thing? It's almost a meme by now, for your fans anyway. I imagine it being your answering machine message and how you introduce yourself to everybody. In your last video even Jess seemed to get a chuckle out of it. Take care guys.
