WTF Moments with Connor and Hank: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-avBORUgT-9c.html Don't forget to drop a like! Let's REACH 100K LIKES! :D
@@seoyoojung Clancy Brown said it long ago that Hank does not perceive Connor as son. It is simply the appeal of the elder person to the younger.Stop this shit.
Connor: Lieutenant! We have another case! Hank: you. You have another case. The only reason I'm on the case is because you're like a fuckin puppy. Connor: I am an android, not a puppy, Lieutenant. Hank: .... I'm not going wi- Connor: *sad puppy noises w/ puppy dog eyes*
@@anothergg2692 no one just says got it, I’ll be back here to someone who just told u to stay behind that’s the most unnatural interaction I’ve ever seen
The thing about Cole is Connor only learnt his name from Hank. When he'd ask what happened, Hank would always shut down the conversation. For him to know all that, Connor had to purposefully look up the information himself or ask someone else. That is certainly not part of Connor's mission, nor was it necessary to build a strong working relationship. Connor was worried for Hank.
not really, he could have been programmed like a T-800 infiltration unit to bond with specific people so the mission would get easier. Besides, he acts as an advisor for a detective, so trust and some sort of friendship is essentiel in this job.
The part where Hank is passed out after Russian Roulette if you check the table theres a picture of Hanks Son that says his name and that he was deceased.
What I like most about Hank, it's, despite his "hate" for androids, he's very protective with Connor, and, every time he sees a new Connor after the other died, it's like he saw a person resurected, not a fixed machine. He treats Connor like a person, not like a machine, that's what I love about Hank.
@@jellystar9033 he does in the end that's that's the whole cholea and hank situation is Connor fills that son role hank never had with his own it's obvious
@@jellystar9033 the ENTIRE development of their relationship is meant to be father and son. thats the point. thats why theres so much emphasis on hanks son dying and him never being able to get over it, till he met connor, and connor made him realise that he could move on with life and even feel like he had family again
@@pemo2676 bullshit, wy then max of their relationship is friendsip and not family like with KarAlice or MarkusCarl? The only sign of fatherson is Hank calling Connor a son, which is only a form of speech and not that he considers him a son. So why'd he never do it again? Why was it not reinforced in the narrative like Kara and Alice or Markus and Carl? No one denys those because it's actually in the story, and actually a character motivation, unlike father-son Hank and Connor which is pulled out of the asses of people who try to rewrite the narrative. Why can we get that scene even if Hank killed Connor himself the night before? 'Son' is a figure of speech and Hank has probably been using it towards younger men for at least thirty years realistically. In that moment? Hank is treating Connor as a coworker who is injured and/or dying. He's treating him as a younger man that he works with. And Hank never really gets heartbroken over Connor's death, only somewhat upset because he sees Connor as a machine. If you're gonna bring up that Hank says that he thinks of Cole when Connor dies, it's because he thinks about death a lot, and wishes his son could come back to life and is generally pretty pissed that some soulless machine gets to come back to life when he's not valued, when humans can't, it's a statement about life and death, not Hank and Connor. It's canon that Hank sees Connor as a machine at the beginning and has mixed feelings about it throughout the story, but he's trying to determine if Connor is a machine or a person. Why would he view Connor as his child if he can't even decide if he's a person in the first place? Most of these chapters occur on the same day, Hank has known Connor for less than a week and has been pestered by him for the entire duration of that, there's no time to become anything other than friends by the end of the week. Can we talk about how Hank also calls Connor a plastic prick, a piece of plastic, an 'it', threatens his life multiple times, even if he never takes it, puts his hands on Connor multiple times even if they never have a fist fight? Their relationship is 'buddy cop.' Their relationship is 'partners.' Their relationship is that of two men who just met and don't like each other very much at first and maybe become friends. If you're going to say that their partnership is based on a father and son relationship, why does it look nothing like the parent child relationships we actually see in the game? Because the game itself states very clearly that replacing your child with an android is a very bad idea that hurts everyone involved. Todd replaced his daughter with Alice and abused her just like he did his human daughter, and he suffered emotionally because he did that, and Alice feels hurt and unloved as well. Carl replaced Leo with Markus, and although their relationship holds more affection, Leo is deeply hurt by his replacement, causing guilt in Carl, and Leo attacks them both for this disrespect... Is the third time the charm? It's quite frankly healthier for Hank to see Connor as an equal and his friend, of course shippers like to see them as more than friends, but that's still healthier than the pain that trying to replace his dead kid with would cause.
It could. I respectfully disagree. There are so many variables, it would reduce the story too much to make it into a movie. There are so many ways you could play the game, and only turning it into the "good" ending would take away from what DBH is. All that to say, it would be a really cool movie. I'm torn 🤣
The game is already kind of like a movie, really. A fun and interactive movie. I'd rather see a Part 2 of this game though, tbh 👀 Imagine how much more beautiful it would be on current gen graphics
I feel like Connor's story doesn't get enough credit. I thought it was the most interesting story in the game just to see if he becomes a deviant and to see the relationship between him and Hank develop over time just made me really buy in to their story.
Iris Frost Also during the scene on the roof if Connor tries to go after Simon when he says “I was scared” and that line was really heart wrenching to me.
@@ViVsk777 you need to get the best ending ; succesfull android revolution, make Conner become deviant, don't be aggressive throughout the game and make sure you become friends with Hank.
@@jellystar9033 you are really fucking annoying. Why even bother clicking on a video titled "father and son moments" if you ship them? Stop throwing a childish tantrum every time you see someone calling them father and son and grow tf up. Go to a shipping video and comment there instead of bitching and wasting people's time with your wining. Leave people alone you goddamn prick, this is why everyone hates shippers like you. You also give shippers a bad fucking name by the way you act. Get a life and a father figure
5:11 When Hank puts his hand on Connor's forehead, that shows so much. It was intentional and emotional. If you don't know the person well or at all, someone won't be putting their hand there. Usually that kind of silent gesture shows care and a level of gentleness that is usually only shared between family. Just the small things, but they really can be the big things. it shows that Hank had begun to see Connor as close or family.
May May like at first, when Hank tells Connor to stop chasing the girls. But I remember when Connor spare the Tracy models, when they got away Hank tells Connor that “maybe is better that way” And the LED was yellow to blue. I remember that the color yellow is processing, so when Connor listen to Hank’s Orders he changes to standard blue :3
i find it adorable and funny when hank, a human, acts as a shield for connor, the android sent by cyberlife, whenever they're about to break into a house or room
I love the hug at the end more than otherwise thematically. It's hank accepting that life goes on even though he makes mistakes and also accepting the truth that connor is not human while still be able to be bros with him
lets just appreciate that these people acted these and made them look REALLY convincing while wearing really silly suits with markers all over their faces and cardboard boxes for a set.
With Todd, he tried to get things back to normal by replacing his family with androids. Hank, on the other hand, doesn't want a new android son but the more Connor and Hank bond, the more he feels like a father figure towards him and it's so cute!
Is no one gonna talk about how hank told him "do not go after them Connor, that's an order" it shows that hank really cares about him because he knows the only way he'll listen is if it's an order,Atleast it's how I saw it
Holy shit Hank has Spidey Senses, now I'd bet to you that Hank is still alive from when Connor let him go off a building. Hank is a fucking Spiderman. There's a reason why his body wasn't shown dead, all characters in the game that gets killed are shown right in the center of the screen, but Hank is an exception. The faint thud and the deceiving camera angle makes me want to think that Hank is still alive, even if he doesn't have the spider senses. But that's just a
@@vyssequeeveanother proof of him having Spidey senses Is the russian roulette scene, he collapsed right before the bullet One, he is spiderman! Sadly about him being alive theory would be too good to be true, he would be in a coma at best
I’ve always loved the fact that even though Connor can easily have his memory transferred to another android if he’s killed, Hank always goes through doors first to protect him
I think it's partially that he cares, and partially because depending on how well you do, the first connor model can stay alive a very long time, so hank might not know connor is replaceable depending on how far you get without dying, so they probably left those small moments in either way, there's just no alternative dialogue/sequence where hank already knows and doesn't care
i will never understand people who view these two as lovers… i mean, i don’t really want to judge, it’s just that i can’t see their relationship being nothing but a strong platonic love that with time can develope into a father-son relationship indeed. edit: you know what? i do judge tho 👀
I cried when Connor yelled to Hank for help during the scene in the news-tower kitchen. Arguably one the best acted line out of all of Connor's moments. Connor: "Hank!.. Hank, I need help!.." _dies in Hank's arms_ Me: _cries profusely_
When Hank asks Conner, after he catches the deviant on the roof, "Why do you never do what I say?" It kind of reminds me of a father scolding his son for doing something stupid. To add to that it's cool how he checks if he's ok first before scolding him just like a father would do. Real cool detail.
10:04 i like to imagine that Connor could have a choice to choose an answer for Hank's son like "Connor! I mean- Cole!" Hank: "whattcha say??" Connor: "sorry dad, i mean- ugh just shoot me Hank"
I love Hank and Connor. They are my absolute favorites. Since I knew if Connor died he'd just come back, I made sure that Hank stayed protected at all costs.
According to his own statement. His punchable face and oddly soothing voice was all designed for interrogation and get high-stress characters to communicate
We know. And his wife is one of the two female androids that ran away from the "adult entertainment center." What I had written was a quasi-verbatim quote for one of the dialog options. :D
I need a sequel, with at least a couple moments of Hank noticing a habit or behavior of Connor, and Hank saying “…Cole used to do that…” and smiling and tearing up.
Tbh, that’s why i think Connor is the true main character, it shows a bond between humans and androids, and human empathy. And idrc about “Kara”, or “Markus”, I’m all Connor baby!
@@randyrandom3358 I agree especially since Hank starts out hating Androids and makes a complete 180 as their bond grows. Most impactful arc in the game
The real reason of my love to Detroit is Connor & Hank ‘cause they diserve better then the ‘story must’s. I wish we could see them much more. And~~ My favorite scene is 12:05 🥺
Guess it'll take years to find out all endings of this story but frankly it had the best storyline among all the video games. One of the things that made this game special was its plot. It was really brilliant of the write to make a story with all these different endings and decisions.
If you think that's precious, when you meet Hank at the food truck the following day; you can have Connor ask Hank why he stopped him from running after the deviants. Hank: 'Because you could've been killed!' *pauses when he realizes he just reacted emotionally to the idea of Connor getting hurt* 'And I hate filling out paperwork for broken equipment.'
8:25 i love how connor is sitting on the desk on a very organic way, hunched over and such. also, i noticed that the further u get into the deviant storyline, the more he emotes with his hands! its not much but its something.
