Greatest glam band of all time, without a doubt. It’s a crying shame more people in the US don’t know about them. And if they have they only know that cover they did , which wasn’t bad, but it didn’t really examplify the true sound of the band.
So true...its ridiculous...the Dolls had some influence but HR just encapsulated the whole thing...from denim and leather to more denim leather hats belts and make up...they literally touched on 4 different genres is why it worked so well. Glam punk hard heavy rock and new wave...done seamlessly
I was just listening to a video on razzles' death, and apparently, Gyp was suicidal. I don't know much about this band as I'm still learning about them. Rip Razzle
After Razzle joined, you could tell the bands sound and genre changed. Gyp and Razzle were great drummers on their own right. But Hanoi with Gyp had sounded more new wave, blues, and punk while Razzle brought them to more a hard rock, a bit of punk and metal to the mixed. That's what I've witnessed from both eras of Hanoi's.
