Iam 71 and worshiping Rafisahab since my childhood and daily pray to depart while doing Pooja of only Rafisahab. The real singing God.No one will borne like him
I nearly fell off the chair Jimmy when I saw you had reacted to this 1970s classic 🤣. Thanks to who ever recommended it. Mohammed Rafi was THE BEST MALE VOCALIST during the Golden period of Indian Cinema. His duets with the equally legendary Lata Mangeshkar are eternal. Rafi’s sultry vocals and the rollercoaster rhythm changing arrangements with orchestral, jazz, western fusion is fantastic. Far better than today’s western influenced songs where the Indian-ness is gone. Please check out ‘Jahan pehchan ho’ from 1960s film Gumnaam. It’s a rocker by Rafi. The song was used in an a Heineken Beer advert many years ago in Europe and became internationally loved. Many non-Indians have covered it - country rock, Jazz, alternative versions. The non-Hindi speaking artists have sung in Hindi. A great tribute to the song and to Rafi. The very 60s dance sequence in the film is a knockout … you’ll love it 😊
Mohammed Rafi is the best male playback singer produced by India and at the same time popular and versatile. He has sung songs of every genre be it romantic, Sad, Happy, Rock n roll, Classical numbers, semi classical, Ghazals, Western type songs, Slow paced , Fast and peppy, Dance numbers etc. He used to sing according to actors performing on screen. He has sung about 7000 songs in 28 Local and international languages. He has sung for about 500 different actors on screen in thousands of movies and worked with every music director of his era . He is most influential indian singer. You can check his songs picturised on Shammi Kapoor and Dev Anand they you will enjoy them here I suggest some 1)Badan pe sitare lapete hue from movie prince 1969 2) Dil ka bhanwar kare pukar from movie Tere ghar ke saamne 1963 3) ye chand sa Roshan chehra from movie Kashmir ki Kali 1964 4) Ankhon hi ankhon mein ishara ho gaya from movie CID 1956 5) O haseena zulfon wali from movie Teesri Manzil 1966 6) Acha ji main haari chalo maan jao na from movie Kaala pani 1958 7) Khoya khoya Chand from movie Kala Baazar 1960 8) Baar Baar dekho hazaar baar dekho from movie China Town 1962 9) Pukarta chala hoon main from movie Mere sanam 1965 10) Aajkal tere mere pyar ke charche from movie Brahmachari 1968
If you want to be party to the extent of Rafi ji's talent, listen to these two songs - Madhuban me Radhika naache re, and O Duniya ke Rakhwaale. You'll be blown apart by what he was able to achieve in his life. Listen to the second song with subtitles.
Thanks to you and the supporter for this song! You both were so glued to watching it that you could not listen to it carefully. Closing your eyes, listen to it again and again, you will like it more and more. The singing, the voice, the humming, the music, beyond any explanation! You are familiar with Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeskar, but MD. RAFI is another stalwart, the greatest among all the male singers, who was capable of singing every moods, every ragas, classical singing, westernized singing, everything!!! This is one of those songs that I keep on listening regularly, however, its beginning is missing here.☕☕
@Dineshkumar-vt5gv Kishore Kumar was not capable of singing classical as he was not trained in music at all. There is a song which was pictured on him but Md. Rafi did playback singing! Kishore Kumar had great respect for Rafi Saab, even he considered him a kind of guru. There can't be comparison between them. Btw, I am also a great fan of Kishore Da and I consider him a "Kudarat ka Karishma"!!!
@@kaamdev810 it is a simple song buddy kishore da has another good song in that movie Dil aaj shayar hai . But best and difficult one was rendered by Rafi sahab Mera man Tera pyasa this song was also used in Hollywood movie Eternal Sunshine of spotless mind.
Md rafi and Kishore kumar are the pillars of Hindi cinema's playback singing. They both are inspiration of million upcoming singers and in the past too.
Watch songs of movie "Pakeeza". It's song are based on original Indian Instruments and It's 1970 movie. "Chalte Chalte, yuhin koi mil Gaya tha" sung by Lata Mangeshkar is my favourite song among many in the film. "Thare rahiyo o banke yaar" too is a great song in the same movie.
CORRECTION: Not beginning but an entire beautiful second stanza (antara), sung by the great RAFI, is missing here. The actual length of the song is almost nine minutes!!!
Superhit movie, all songs of this movie are superhit, even the young generation like these songs, do watch...but I don't know whether you like it or not, this movie is a sad story of a girl who was forced into prostitution
Hi Jimmy and Deniz! Dunno much about the movie. The songs are still sung though…they were an enormous hit while I was a lad in school and they were played incessantly in the radio. The two Lata singles are beautiful. Quintessential Madan Mohan creations curated especially for Lata. Both he and RD Burman would compose songs specifically for Lata. Some interesting factoids about the people involved. The director Chetan Anand is the younger bro of Dev Anand, who would’ve been 100 yesterday. Balraj Sahni was the erudite founder of the actors guild and was a Marxist and English lit scholar; and the father of Parikshit Shahni. Two notable movies of Balraj : Do Bigha Zameen and Garm Hawa. Both leftist messages. Both films worth watching once. Priya Rajvansh was Chetan Anand’s mistress. She was murdered after Chetan died, prolly killed by Chetan’s son who wanted the property the dad had given Priya. I’m sure a film must’ve been made about this murky yet juicy affair. 😀
Good recommendation although this was in mohd Rafi 's later years when he was eclipsed by kishore. Listen to songs from 1950s 60s. Guru dutt, Dev Anand films or some from Rajendra kumar's. Intriguing song but not close to his best work

The list is a joke...not one single song by the greatest music directors Shanker Jaikishen...their songs in Basant Bahar are the greatest of all times...
@@kaamdev810 this is not a joke it was a poll conducted by Outlook Magzine and they asked many people associated with Indian music and movies to choose best songs
Let me apriciate good selection of vedio to react , and afraid, as like other reaction channel after sometime having good subscription limit themselves to khan gang, Karan gang etc only , 🤔
The actress name was Priya. She was murdered on 27 March 2000 in Chetan Anand's Ruia Park bungalow in Juhu, Mumbai, India. Police charged Chetan Anand's sons Ketan Anand and Vivek Anand along with their employees Mala Choudhary and Ashok Chinnaswamy with her murder.[6] Their motive was thought to be rights to her inheritance of Chetan Anand's property. Rajvansh's handwritten notes and a letter addressed by her to Vijay Anand were produced in court as evidence by the prosecution.[7] The letter and notes throw light on Rajvansh's fear and anxiety during the period prior to her death under mysterious circumstances. The four accused were convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment in July 2002[8][9][10][11] but they were granted bail in November 2002.[12] In 2011, the Bombay High Court agreed to hear the appeals filed by the accused duo against the trial court's order. I am requesting you to react on one hindi language song named "Hum the woh thi aur shama rangeen"... the actor itself is the singer of the song that is Kishore Kumar.,.. song link : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-o3HuWOGseo8.htmlsi=wCDzPeKiv2Jzo-5m This is Indian version of the famous American pop song Watermelon by Tennessee Ernie.... In the hindi film version the music composer Mr S D Birman initially wasn't interested making any song on it owing to copyright issue since his idea was not to influence his music work some foreign national work. But Kishore Kumar was insistent to keep the song since he was also the producer of the movie..
