Well, at one point Heaven really did troll them. They were hoping to get good fortunes and they did. Then they read the small print and it was things like "Don't forget to visit home sometime" and "Bring back souvenirs!"
Jesus praying to the father makes me think that the old guy is God the Father, but the original creators probobly never heard of the Trinity so it's unlikely
It's so admirable that Jesus was, wrongfully might I add, horribly tortured and executed the last time he was on earth and despite that he's still such a wonderful guy to everyone
Yeah man. Say what you wanna say about religion, God, the divinity of Jesus etc. but at the end of the day he was an all around great and kind man and that's just so wholesome and admirable. He is what everyone should strive to be like.
@@georgiosgiannoukas3319 He calls out hypocrites, promotes progressive or modern thinking (for that time), sticking with the core morals of a religion / beliefs rather than just the silly rules, and strikes a revolution in favor of the lower class etc
@@kittenmimi5326 Yeah that's what I mean. He didn't focus on the rules. He focused on the inner good and values of man and promoted the idea of kindness and doing good deeds for the sake of it instead of selfish reasons. Very admirable.
Buddha was a man who strived to be god to learn, Jesus was the son of god striving to be a man to teach it. After typing this, I see how they are similar.
Ghastly Crow Actually Jesus is an extension of Elohim put into flesh. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."-John 1:1 "The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We looked upon His glory, the glory of the one and only from the Father, full of grace and truth."-John 1:14 There is debate on his divine and human nature and how exactly that corresponds, but its pretty clear that in Christian thought, Jesus is a part of God.
@@ihkeseteeietos5722 which is kind of wrong, you need to be more religious and it is part of your people and part of that identity that makes you a Thai. I don't see this anime as offensive at all
SHuXun I think it’s because the anime actually doesn’t go to ridicule any of the two religions, using their religious materials as a means to make funny situations It also helps that they don’t place any emphasis on one being stronger than another, it’s just two people
F2Plays WBA If you're a Christian, you should find the entire anime funny, its actually far from being offensive, a funny potrayal of what it might be like if Jesus Christ visits Japan
I'm Thai Buddhist and I was kinda shocked when I saw the trailer, when Buddha tried to sleep and there were birds, then he shout at those birds. In Thailand, we always portrait him as someone so peaceful, which I think that's probably more like how it was😂😂 This is quit new and cute at the same time
Forgive me for it being two years later, but I was surprised that the proverb about the patience of the Buddha was not played out. Although I was literally expecting this turn :-)
Day Dreemur "Saint Young Men" totally funny dispite your views on religion and it's not offensive at all to both parties :) Buddah and Jesus are simply homies so maybe give it a try?
