hahahaa recently they released a like a variety show thing and in it they had to spend 5 mins drawing smthn, during those 5 mins they were very concentrated and quiet. bang chan looked up and went "can you hear that? you cant hear anything right? i love it so much"

- He has several nicknames: the members sometimes use Hyunjinnie, Llama/Weasel/Ferret (in reference, not address), he himself uses Hyun.e (basically Honey), Jinnie/Jini, and Prince is pretty universally applied even well outside of the fandom. - 5:47 What makes this dance bit even better is that he and Han were getting their groove on to the carnival music from a toy claw machine. - 6:46 "I feel like they're really hard to organize as a group..." According to both them and everyone who meets them: YES. They're chaos. They've been singled out as chaotic by other chaotic people. We eventually noticed that Chan once again demonstrated his genius by figuring out how to wrangle them (when he's not being part of the chaos): he treats them the way a kindergarten teacher treats five-year-olds. He'll toss out a "Let's do [whatever]" suggestion in the midst of the melee, and it makes them all suddenly focus on the new activity, and then he has them. Otoh, even just yesterday, yet another person who's met them mentioned that when they're in performance mode, they're preternaturally focused and intense. They'd been amusing themselves by playing their music fill blast and holding the phones up to his head to wake him up, but he just...kept sleeping. - 8:36 Hyunjin's reaction here is hilarious, but honestly, the full story makes it better. He jokingly insulted Lee Know earlier in the show and immediately assumed a defensive position because, well, historical precedent. So Lee Know acted like nothing happened, and eventually Hyunjin let down his guard over the course of the show. And then Lee Know stealthily nailed him with a rubber band, immediately hid the band, and acted like nothing happened. So when Hyunjin was dying and accusing Lee Know, the others checked Lee Know's empty hands and got his completely innocent "I have no idea what he's talking about" response. This moment is the essence of HyunMin. - 12:07 Yes, before he started lifting, Changbin was notoriously scrawny. Until he hit about 20 or so, he was a stick figure. So instead of using the words he's not allowed to speak, he dances, slowly coming apart, until he ends completely disheveled, his princely image all but gone, just the raw self left, the vestiges of his facade clinging by a single button...and then he grabs his throat again as a reminder that he's still not allowed to speak. A coordinated attack of lies tried to take him (and several other people) out, to destroy his career and life, and in typical kpop fashion, he couldn't say a word to defend himself. Even when it was proven false, he couldn't speak about it. He could only keep dancing, keep writing, showing himself to be a person, not a perfect image, silenced but not gone. The prince showed himself as the person underneath, silenced but still here and still reigning. - Yes, Hyunjin is THE choreographer. He worked with the director on the staging, but the choreography is his. In all SKZ releases, they're very specific about the creators, be it choreography, lyrics, composing, arranging, whatever. For instance, you'll see Lee Know's co-choreographers listed with him on _his_ solo release, "Dawn." There's no "well, we'll just give The Idol the credit" BS. - This is not his first self-choreographed release. I like how you speculated about the outfit and staging choices in relation to the storytelling. I think the "prince" outfit references how he's always talked about for his "prince-ly" visuals and he breaks free from that image throughout the dance as the outfit gets more disheveled and stripped back into something more raw and feral. Notice how the lighting and hairstyle actually hides his face throughout most of the dance, as if he's saying look at my skills and not my face.

Thank you for this birthday present for Hyunjin and for us 😍 I just want to give you a little bit of a look into the choreography that Hyunjin made here, since everything, from the dance itself, through the song chosen, outfit chosen, tiding up his hair and even the props like mirror and the rose - all these things were his idea. Play with fire is a story about beautiful prince (everyone's been refering to Hyunjin as a "prince" since the school) who is considered as just beautiful and elegant and perfect but he has a wild animal inside and his heart is full of fire, especially while he dances. That's why he looks so messy at the end, because every person has flaws and imperfections. At the beginning when he pops and chokes himself it's his true imperfect and wild nature coming out of him, breaking through the "perfect prince shell" and at the end he's choking himself again, silencing that wild nature that can't be released and he just walks away back to his schedules and normal work, back to trying to be perfect in the society and industry that requires perfection in every aspect. It's a dance about passion that burns within him but can't be fulfilled in the way he wants. Hyunjin has an artistic soul and express himself through the art, making choregraphies, making photos or drawing, and this is his own story he wanted to tell us after four months of being silenced and hidden. But the most interesting part about him is that he had never practiced dancing before he had been street casted by a JYPe employee when he was shopping with his mum. He had been training dancing only for 2 years before debuting with Stray Kids as the MAIN dancer (him and Minho are both main dancers). At first he was so bad and inexperienced in dancing that others scolded him and laughted at him when he kept saying that he want to debut as a main dancer. They kept saying he's going to debut just because he's pretty so he was working twice as hard to prove them wrong (sometimes 18 hours per day, he'd been practicing, sleeping for 2 hours, going to school, then back to the company to practice again, and he also joined SOPA and took contemporary lessons) and now he became one of the best dancers in the industry, (few days ago Studio Choom's PD called him the best 4th gen male dancer) his fancams have millions of views (8,8 mln views for Psycho fancam for example and 14 fancams with over 1 mln views). He is known for his hard work, dancing has become his greatest passion and he even choreographed two dance covers by himself (PWF you've just reacted to and "When the party's over"). He is so young yet he already has menaged to create his own style of dancing and lately he started to write and compose songs (you can watch his self-written and self-composed song "Little Star" and "#Lovestay" he composed himself and co-wrote with Felix and I.N). "Red lights" he made with Chan is about perfectionism and compulsion of workaholism. Him and Chan are the biggest hardworkers and perfectionist in the group so they could capture it perfectly. But think the main point why he became so good at dancing is that the dancing became his greatest passion. He practices almost his all free time, even other members say he's thinking only about dancing (and painting 😋). He said that when he wants to take a break he thinks that someone over there is probably practicing right now so he just gets back to training. He's been doing many dance vlives called "Hyune's Dance Studio" and there are many compilation of his vlive dances on YT as well, especially when you watch his freestyle dance, you can clearly see his passion and love for dance, the way he immerses himself into music and dance, trying to convey all the emotions he feels. He said that dancing is a language for him, that he's not that good with words, but he conveys his emotions and thoughts through his dance and paintings. He treats dancing not as just his work but a passion and an art, he has really artistic soul, he can't help but creating art, trough his dancing, painting, photographing, composing, writing songs and even making bracelets. He is not just a dancer. He is an artist. Hyunjin is an INFP, he's very introverted person. He likes to work on choreography and songs all alone, to spend time alone, mainly on drawing or watching sad romantic movies after which he cries a lot, he likes to walk along Seoul streets alone and taking pictures, his room is full of his drawings, dried flowers and candles, he's writing his thoughts about life like a poem, he's like a modern bohemian, that came out straight from a romantic book.

Thank you girls for saying Happy Birthday to Hyunjin! 🎈🌻 🌞 It's Hyunjin day, so I am going to talk about Hyunjin 😄 You asked if we could say what we think about Hyunjin in 3 words, it's not easy, but I will try. For me it's more like 3 words in 1 - #lovestay. He genuinely cares and he is the one that created the # Hyunjin wrote the lyrics for "Love Stay" together with Felix and IN and he also tries to have a meaningful conection with Stay. Many people tend to talk a lot about his hair, so a few months ago he asked Stay not to talk about his hair during his Vlives, because he would rather talk about our worries. Which he then proceeded to do on a regular basis. He really takes pride in his craft. There are a couple of videos from studio Choom. They are really like older and younger sibling with each other and remind me a lot of how my sister and I used to be, when we were younger.
