I'm a bit late for happy New Year's because I just found your channel, therefore, Happy Easter. I would like to see more home automation. I want to do some stuff around the house but I just can't figure out what would really be worth doing. Btw good luck at the maker fair.
I really love my IoT switch ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jlQJx-8k6a8.html and my IoT lamp ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6U4JssgWjr8.html Still have to publish a video of my multi-purpose lamp that I took to the Maker Faire. If you want to equip your home with home automation devices, you could start with sensors. Like temperature, humidity and light sensors.
More IoT please. Please do LoRa projects. Consider a venetian blind controller that can automatically create privacy, passive thermal control based on light, outside temperature and indoor temperature with solar panel power source and linked to Apple HomeKit / Google Home / Amazon Alexa / iOS / Android.
Sorry, I'm greedy -- I want it ALL... right NOW! (Oops, forgot to mention that I'm impatient as well. ) One thing that I would like for you electronics guys to explore is ability to switch common electric devices and appliances to utilize the developing battery technologies that promise far greater capacity AND power, AND more quickly recharge. I am certain that in your lifetime the way we power our electric appliances will be completely different than the existing power distribution systems. How are you preparing for that? Help us start building for that eventuality.
I am working self navigated robot (SLAM--simultaneous localization and mapping). I would like to know more what are the sensors I can use on my robot and what algorithm to use.
