For audiobooks. Check out your local library. Mines has an online accessibility. I was able to download several apps that my library issues and I can borrow audiobooks, movies, music, and ebooks.

I haven't made it through your video but I had to stop it to make my comment. I love the journal pages! But I especially love where you ordered your books from!!! I want to order most if not all of my books from a Black owned bookstore but haven't taken the time to research which ones that sell new books. Then I saw Mahogany Books in your video and remembered that I saw something about them online but I forgot to write it down, so I forgot about them...then COVID and you know the rest. Thanks for the reminder!!!

same, about nonfiction. I am a fiction reader. I can only get into nonfiction reads via audiobooks otherwise I take for-ev-er to complete. It's especially nice if read by the author if a celebrity read, it's like they're talking to you lol

Kam, this was a wonderful video. I love that you are journaling the books you are reading this year and sharing your journey with us. Thank you for the amazing tips on the variety of ways to consume books. Although I do not have a goal for reading for the moment, I will consider the graphic novels. I enjoy historical romance and romance novels by black authors. Tfs 📚💕

I live your idea of writing down what you read fir the day. I have a horizontal planner that I am not using. Great way to repurpose it. Thank you fir your tips. I read a combination of fiction and non fiction books.

I'm currently reading The Science of Discworld II - The Globe which is a book about the development of science and the arts with interspersed chapters of a fantasy story set in Terry Pratchett's Discworld universe. The Discworld novels are all amazing and the book is really interesting, but since you mentioned not being a non-fiction reader, it's not something I would recommend to you because most of it is non-fiction. So just a thought/rec from my own experience for when you next tackle a non-fiction book: It really helps if you can read along while having it read to you as an audiobook, which is what I'm doing with most of the science chapters of this book.

This was great! I am ready to start something like this! Will you eventually have all 50 books with a page summary for each in this, or was that for your previous books this year only? I used to read so much, was an English high school teacher... I suffered from some vision problems and stopped, but after surgery I can read... I just don't. I really miss it! Thank you for all your inspiration to grab life and both plan and record! You bring us joy! Do you think a person could count reading a whole book of the Bible as one book?

I love love love this. I also prefer fiction reading. I was never an audio book reader but started last year and enjoy it so much. I use SCRIBD for that. I read Kindred a couple years ago and that book stayed with me. Really an intense read. I enjoyed it. I have so many happy notes I will probably use that do your one page summary and review for my books.

I forgot to mention that I read Kindred, the novel a few years ago as well. But I wanted to check out the Graphic Novel version. I should make myself some notes for filming videos b/c sometimes I leave important things out. I absolutely loved Kindred and can't wait to see if the GN holds up to my expectations.

I have this planner. I just Frankenplanned it with my catch-all and budget planners. Cam, your overview of using this planner both mirrors my intended use, but you added some amazing new ideas that I hadn’t thought of doing. A daily review of chapters read in a day makes so much sense. I was going to list my reviews here, but that felt awkward. Using the daily slots as a review of materials read that day works much better! I also love audiobooks. I got into them when I had a 32-mile commute to work. I haven’t read a graphic novel. I need to check them out. My favorite author has released several books in this format. Thank you for the flip-through! ❤️

Peace of the Plans I’m a science fiction/urban fantasy fan. When I read it is to escape “our” reality. 😀 The author is Jim Butcher. The series with the graphic novels is called The Dresden Files.

I actually haven’t even started reading Michelle’s book yet. Oh for shame, but to my defense, I’m currently working on my doctoral program so, there’s that. Just wanted to tell you that you’ve sparked a great creative idea for me. Question, where did you get the little girl stickers, I refuse to use my G&CoCo dolls in a planner, I usually laminate them and use them as dividers.

Which stickers? I get stickers from everywhere. I have a whole video sharing some of my fav shops. If you give me a little more detail I should be able to tell you exactly where I got specific stickers from.

Love this Cam! Question???! Would you expound what exactly goes next to the “❤️points” ? Or some ideas? I have the same planner and using it in a similar way and I’m intrigued by your “one pager”.

Yes. So I'm documenting things like the year of publication, important info about the author ( where they're from/awards etc.), the protagonist, antagonist(s), main themes in novel, elements of the book I liked and disliked. I want to add, going forward, one or two quotes that stood out for me, as well.
