This is a very well done review, Albert. Kudos. IMO these newer canopies appear to be quite refined if we considered just a year ago the mobula HD canopies and trash can canopies. This Mo6 canopy is a nice evolution from the original mobula canopies, Even at first glance you can tell the dark frame is definitely inspired by those.

Features, price and flying capability seem great for this one. Nice combo! I've been happy with my Mobula7 for a year w/o problems (except the original connector and batteries of course). Now looking forward to the delivery of the Mobula6. Thanks for the review. And also planning to go to 4.1 if it doesn't ship with it, so your tune could be helpful.

Much anticipate review, as ever, many thanks to you Albert! RE Jello, most likely the canopy, but could be worth changing the canopy out to see if you get improvement - just to make sure the camera isn't trash. Also I notice some horizontal lines on hard punch out in the vid - and no cap, so maybe try adding a little 100uf cap? Very keen to see bt2.0 difference here, might be more noticeable. Pity they don't ship with 350mah batteries too

@@AlbertKimTV is it just my eyes, lol. 0:03, 12:53 ish - and other place where you hammer the throttle for power loops and the like. I wonder if they uprated the ceramic caps on board, this is surely pulling more amps than any other production whoops. I kinda wish they had offered 22000kv as a happy medium

Seeing the title I remembered your Snapper 7 review, the first one that got me into flying quads. So many quads later, I am going to get this one too! Thanks Albert! 19K for me as it is going to be my indoor ripper. I have the beebrain lite mocking bird edition & intrigued by their brushless version. @Albert Kim my Meteor65 SE came with BB2 ESCs "H" firmware load, and JESC 48Khz and RPM filtering works great on it. Running BF 4.1.1 4k4K and DSHOT300 per UAV Tech, since it's just a F4 processor. Adds 1+ minute to flight time (from 2:15 to 3:30 and rips even better than stock. Amazing. Can't wait to get my Mob6 but like so many others, waiting and waiting on pre-order.

Yeah, my early batch Meteor65 has the BB1 ESCs so no firmware magic for that one. By the way, on the Mobula6 19000kv motor version with 16.77 48khz firmware and 4.1.1 with RPM filter, I'm getting 5:30 flight time on the stock 300mah lipo. It's almost too long...

I am a in the house run time weanie as you call it. I installed 19000 kv Happy Model 0802 into my URUAV UR65 with the same Genfan props you are using . Power was a bit better than the stock motors with now 4 minutes of run time which is at least 30 seconds over the stock motors. I don't understand why you need to fly something like this out doors. This is an indoor platform in my opinion and so much better is out there for any out door flying.

I have so many comments/questions...1) Could you mount the camera in a Goober instead to remove the jello? 2) What's your feeling on the longevity of this FC? A lot of people are concerned that it will "burn" having so many components packed into a small board. 3) It looks like the VTX antenna is a simple monopole...are there ground pads there if you wanted to mounted a CP antenna? Most whoop races require CP antennas these days.

I showed the board in the video. You don't see any ground pads? Why are CP antennas required over monopole? I'm sure a Goober canopy would work, but it will be heavier. Yes, this FC gets hot even on USB power. It needs adequate airflow.

@@AlbertKimTV 1) Upon second look, yes I see them. I was listening to your review while working and only occasionally looking at the screen. I think I'd install a u.fl at the expense of a little weight to make antenna swapping quicker. 2) CP's are required to avoid interference with other racers. I know Jesse Perkins requires them at all of his races and there's a group a couple hours from me that just started requiring them because they were tired of troubleshooting antenna issues all of the time.

Gday Albert, great review mate, my thinking on this little guy is why cant you buy the higher kv model and use a throttle cut for inside and im still baffeled why they have four mounting points for a canopy and only use three why couldn't you 3d print a small front mount and glue or screw it to the canopy to utilize all four mounts surely that would reduce the gello and strengthen the canopy.👍🛸

Great review albert. I have an issue where if the battery drops to about 3v then it wipes all the settings in BF and I have to plug in and re set everything. Have you had this? I've only had a UK65 whoop before and never had this issue. Thanks.

I have not had this happen but heard it happen to some others. I would increase your low battery voltage setting to at least 3.1v. I heard this helps.

That indoor 19000 KV flight looked almost jello free? Was that so or just because of the smaller window we saw?

It was because it was dark. Jello only comes out outside when it's bright and sunny.

That won't pit into the tray and I think it will be too heavy. It will add about 5 more grams.

I sooo want my now, and i'm sooo not happy with Banggood right now :P First they said 9/1 and no delays, then they said 10/1 (on the 9th when it didn't ship) and now they say in 22 days or less, and then it's 10-20 days of shipping after that :P And i just want to fly some in my apartment and maybe at my work (when they don't see i guess) but got to get it first, and i don't find it in stock anywhere else tho so i can't cancel and buy from other place. Albert Kim awesome thanks for the feedback. Really hoping to use a nbd bbb fc for a 1s toothpick guess I’ll stick with the nbd camera since it’s plug and play. Just really wished nbd didn’t use oddball size motor plugs. I really don’t want to have to solder them tiny wires on them tiny pads lol.

Yes, the solution is to raise min voltage value from 2.8 to 3.2v in Betaflight.

For acro/freestyle, this one is still the best IMO. For general flying/racing, either is OK though you will get more flight time on the NewBeeDrone Acrobee65 V3.

There are receiver pads on the board for both inverted and uninverted receivers... Your crossfire should work on this.

Not unless you want to carry around a 450mah lipo. The 300mah lipo is too small to make a huge difference in performance on this one. Yes, there is a small benefit and it's not that impressive.

I'm getting pretty bad vtx signal after updating to 4.1 and using rpm filters on the mob6. I fixed smart audio and have my vtx power at 25mw, any ideas??

I used a 2.1 smart audio table but I think you’re right because the frequency is different than on my goggles.

The low weight is pretty impressive here. Is that really a Runcam Nano 3? Does that mean they de-cased the production version to save weight? Seems like they really thought of everything to shave the grams.

I don't think they changed the camera. I was told that's how RunCam provided the camera to them.

@@AlbertKimTV interesting, maybe they got a slightly different version of the nano3 than is commercially available. If you have the time I'd love to see the cam out of the canopy and the weight. Hopefully runcam will be selling this version without the case too.

The nano 3 is a totally new camera. It was designed to be a higher resolution ultra light board cam like the OV231 and the like

Maybe a bit of hot glue near the front of the canopy connecting it to the frame will stop the jello?

Yes. Performs exactly like the motors should. Not as much power and more flight time.

Airmode doesn't activate when you arm. It activates after hitting a threshold throttle value. So if it just took off after arming on the ground, it was not airmode that caused it.

airmode is off by default and is on a mode switch... maybe a setup issue?

Wow, is there a lot of difference in consumption between 19000k and 25000k? What flight times can you reach with them?

I explained it in the video. Flight time is dependent on how you fly. The 19000kv will have a range of 3.5 to 4 minutes. The 25000kv will range from 1.5 to 2.5 minutes

I haven't tried RPM filter on the 25000kv motor version yet, only the 19000kv motor version. With the free JazzMaverick firmware it works.
