FYI, You should not use tape on the style of connection that that regulator uses. The threads themselves aren't what seals, its the end that's being pressed against the seat. The tape will just cause possible contamination. Thread tape is only for NPT style tapered threads. Thanks for the video. Edit: the hoses are the same, no thread tape on those either.

Thanks for the beginner’s tutorial. Lots of people have lots to say but you did declare you’re learning. Many people have to start somewhere. Actually some of their comments were informative. Some were contradictive and not very helpful. Thanks for posting your progress.

Like your video looks like a good start. Advice - never weld with bare hands (skin)! Wear a lose fitting welding jacket no tee shirts. For your long term health maybe a small fan when using flux core. Try not to weld galvanized metal. Be safe and have fun.

Dude cut your gas down a little or you will run out before to long you should only use 15 on the gun tor tig.

Amateur advice would say, increase wire speed, lower gas flow and slow your travel speed down a ton! Welding isn't a quick or fast process. But for sure appreciate this video since I'm planning on buying this model or the 120/240v system!

Hey buddy you are going way to fast on your beads , slow down and make small circle motions

I'm by no means a professional welder but I just picked up this exact machine and the suggested settings especially in regards to wire feed speed are too slow. Also you are mig welding not stick welding you need to try to weld in half circles, create a puddle and keep the puddle moving along amd back and fourth over the seam. You don't want to just drag it across the seam.

You didn't do the stick welding?? It was a half hour video bud..

For the tig welding, you did something wrong with gas coverage, either the amount of gas, the distance from the work piece.. I'm not sure, but when it's explosive like that it's not properly being covered

Too cold and too fast. Don’t push the weld, drag it. Slow and steady mig. Tig you need to do a weaving bow tie.

Running an air compressor through the gun? Holy crap your gas flow is way to high.

Wire feed should be about 200-230 and volts 18-22
