I bought one a week ago. I transport RVs and I hook it up to the RVs battery to retract and extend the fifthwheel landing gear and slide-outs in and out. Works amazing.
I had this model and gave it to my stepdaughter. I replaced it with the version with an air compressor. I've jumped all kinds of vehicles with this and it delivers quite a lot of current. It would jump my diesel tractor easily (over and over again on one charge) even when I had problems jumping it with my running SUV.
I bought it today i had 4 in 1 that didn’t work on Chevrolet express after that i went to harbor freight bought this one just connected to the battery went in the van straight and started works great recommended
Hi Danny! I purchased the exact jump starter in Aug 21. My wife's 300 Amp starter died, so I gave her mine since it wouldn't jump start my big ol' Expedition. I'm growing concerned because the instructions for this starter read, 1) charge after purchase, 2) charge after each use and 3) charge every 30 days if not in use. When I initially charged it, it read full (FUL) after 4 seconds. I assumed it was fully charged when I bought it. I've charged it 3 more times- every 30-40 days or so- since the initial charge and again, it reads FUL after a few seconds of being plugged into A/C power. I don't want to wish for my SUV's battery to die just so I can try it out, but I'm starting to wonder if mine is a dud. I'm also worried about losing my money if it is a dud and I let the warranty expire before I actually need it. Any advice?
Jump start a vehicle without the battery connecting only the jump box to the wires. You will know if it is working or not. You can always just replace the internal battery for around $60.
There is nothing unusual going on with your unit based on your description of what's going on. They are just making sure people are actually keeping the unit charged before they need it.
So I'm having the opposite issue. I just bought mines. When I plugged it in, it was already at 85%.... After about an hour it was at 95%... Now it's been on charge about 6 hours and is still reading 95%... Is this normal?
Mine won’t take a charge in less than a year. I confess I haven’t always charged once a month like the instructions say. May try to replace the battery and do better but my money would probably be better spent on the smaller, lighter Lithium Ion battery jump pack.
@@RobBrownTV funny timing though I'm actually headed to harbor freight to return mine as the battery charges to full but then when I try to use it it says empty
I bought one about 6 months ago. Kept charged per directions. It would no longer charge. Took out battery and it recovered on regular charger. Tested power supply on jump pack and it has failed. The beauty is you can’t buy one. I’ll buy something similar and cobble it together. $180.00 turd.
