I have almost the entire bauer power tool line and have loved them all. The grinder is especially nice. The little chainsaw is great for pruning trees that want to smack you in the face while mowing. The hedge trimmer leaves a bit to be desired but it works. I ran the hammer drill in concrete all day and it survived. Use the hex impact daily, and use the 1/2" impact every time I'm working on a car. I even have their little shop blower, which is great.

And for a quest of a "cheap but great" kit, I believe that, paired with a paracord buckle that houses a scraper and a ferro rod in it, you could make the bracelet oversized and wrap around the whole kit, giving you 10 to 13' of paracord as well. I recently received a Ganzo Firebird FB6201 knife as a gift. I've purchased two today as gifts for others. For $26 you get G10 handles and 440c steel. It's a very quick flipper and well made with a nice clip also. I usually carry a Benchmade, Spiderco or similar mass produced knife as EDC. But I'm VERY impressed at the value of these Ganzos. It would seem to be a good companion to these other good value tools.

Did I mention it has dual alternators? But only if you hit that like button, I’ll wait. It will only have one alternator until you hit that like button

Impressive how you put the saw back together with the washers. Dad use to repair teletype machines, and he told me the trick of using grease to hold things. I enjoy your channel.

I just bought this yesterday. It actually doesn't look that bad, quality wise. The locking mechanism does need some work though. Thanks for the suggestion Wranglerstar.

I would pair it with the Milwaukee folding Hawkbill 48-22-1985 or the Drop point 48-22-1520. Prefer Hawkbills for rope, minor limbing, and general work, as work doesn't slide of end of blade easy and you can baton the point into stuff. The Hawkbill is easy to open with a wrist flick, locks solid, nice feel, though I wish it was easier to close one handed. I haven't tried the Drop point version, but it uses the same body as the Hawkbill, of which I have 2. Price is around $20-30 depending on seller.

We've used these folding saws around the farm for years. The handles tend to bend and crack in high and low temperatures but they aren't terrible if that's all ya got. A Cold Steel bushman would pair up and give you some flexible options.

@@jonross377 Indeed. For around $10.00 you'll have a knife that will last and preform basic, moderate tasks. I have many bigger, and more heavy duty knives, but I have several Mora 511's in various locations. There is no excuse for not having a knife, when Mora provides a 511.

Late to the show, here, but Harbor Freight's Icon knife is a great folder. Good steel, ceramic bearing action, modeled closely after a beautiful Begg, and it's $32.

Mora Companion. I've carried one almost daily for over 5 years now. Can't kill it. Not a fan of the sheath after about a year, but I modified it to keep the knife from sliding out. Best bang for the buck you can get. Morakniv only sells quality . . . . even if it's no frills.

Picked up one of these at a gun show years back for like 5 bucks with its sheath, didnt really know what I was getting just wanted a cheap knife to beat up. You’re right, its unkillable. No frills. Sheath still keeps it in tight to boot. Anyone remotely in the market for an all-around knife should get one.

I bought a mora companion for £12 a couple of years ago and it’s never let me down. Cheap, stays sharp, excellent sheaf and great design. Also for the price they’re almost disposable so I don’t feel the usual guilt I normally feel from my more expensive knives when bashing them through a piece of wood.
