I have lived in one of the neighborhoods viewed in this video for over 30 years and I never heard of Pig Point, lol. There was Tidewater Community College exactly 5 minutes from my house, the GE plant, and Izaac Walton League skeet range which are all closed now but never heard of Pig Point. I used to mow the skeet range and to get there I drove down Respass Beach Rd and eventually had to drive up and over the newly made 664.
Always great to hear a "native" speak. You say "Nans-mund". In my head, I've always said "Nans-uh-mund." Btw, I, too, LOVE Kroger. We just opened - today - a new huge Kroger on Mercury Blvd. just two miles from my home!
Yeah! Thanks - glad I'm not the only crazy one for Kroger! Hahaha. Congrats on the new one, too. And also, I've been saying it that way for as long as I can remember, never even thought about it! Lol!
I’m disabled and only getting less than 900 per month ssdi. Looking for an apartment affordable. Walking distance from shopping is helpful. I love to have neighbors who are friends. I like the water areas and age47. I don’t have a clue of where to look.
The dream is to live on the water 💕🥰💕 it seems like cars and trucks are popular.... is it common to see motorcycles/scooters around town as well? What part of town would you suggest looking at if that was hour main mode if transport?
Ooooooo can you talk about local stuff too? Do you guys have flea markets, local art walks or a community print (ours is 225 magazine)?! I’m such a millennial LOL where do all the hipsters go here?
Hahaha, well the best things that involve walking are either A)Norfolk/Ghent and B)Oceanfront (as far as art walks, etc). There are some flea markets/several antique shops across Norfolk and Virginia Beach (another in Chesapeake), that my wife and I like to go to also. So there's a little assortment, but the things you're talking about aren't super common in one, centralized place. The closest would be Ghent and the Oceanfront during the summertime.
