Hi I'm new here. So glad I came across your channel. I'm from California and moved to Michoacan with my 3 sons and husband 4 yrs ago. I can say best decision of my life. It's hard, but so rewarding. When I get home sick, we drive out to Guadalajara. It's so nice to see others from the states living in Mexico.
Glad to see your mom and sister visiting and that your husband is back home with y’all. You really explained what a quince is about. It’s about bringing families together to celebrate a young woman coming of age. I don’t have daughters! But I have sponsored several of nieces quince celebrations. We also sponsored weddings of our family’s nieces and nephews. That’s just what we as Latinos do for family and friends in our communities.
My wife learned how to sew and make cloths when she was a kid in the USSR. She taught my daughters to. We were so lucky when I found an old Singer 201-2 sewing machine that even had a users manual. Fabrics were expensive but they made some nice dresses and we no doubt saved money. I paid 25$ for at a yard sale.
I know that this video was published 5 months ago; but I'm just getting to it right now. And normally, I would just watch it and not comment. BUT! I HAVE to say this! Your son, Cristiano, resembles your sister so much!!!! I live in Guadalajara but I grew up on a ranch similar to where you live, and watching your videos makes me very nostalgic for my childhood and adolescence in such a beautiful and peaceful environment. i have watched just a few videos and already getting addicted. i find you very endearing and love the life you have. this brings so many memories back of when i was a young girl visiting my grandparents' ranch in Nuevo Leon. i loved that life and still wish i could have a ranch here in Texas. Everything is truly beautiful as you have said. Your Sister should definitely live in Mexico. I wouldn't miss Target or Walmart. I took part in my friends Quince and as a teen I did not know how much it cost back then. It was just like a big party and we spent the night all of us for like 2 maybe three days at a place that her parents rented and it was really fun.

Love your videos. My family from my moms side live in a very small town in Sonora. I loved going there every summer and on holidays when I was a kid. Loved the freedom just like your kids. I had a quince for my daughter 17 years ago and paid $600 for her dress alone in the US. You got a very good deal since it included everything and alterations. Love your sister, she's so much fun.
