If you run a ridge line between two trees, you can use just one figure 9 and a bowline. You can attach some micro carabiners and some Prussiks much easier to adjust the tarp to where you want it on the ridge line. You just use them to put tension on either end, and it keeps it taught.
you need to milk the bury (slide./pull with your fingers) on the Amsteel whoopie slings,. to lock it,... the purpose of the little bead is to prevent someone pulling the entire main Loop through itself.
Cracking video, definitely does a great job of showing what can be done. I'm certainly looking forward to more content relating to your camping set ups for when you're out in the field..
Just got same set up great vid realy enjoyed one question the whoopie slings seen quite few vids on them and the ones ive seen the bead only stops loop pulling through sinch tube accidently not for locking off , to lock off after adjustment you stretch sinch tube not compress it ..... unless its a different one to what ive got .. great vid tho
Are you doing an insulation vid for hammocks? I'd also use a screwgate crab instead of a wire gate, you don't want to hit the floor in the middle of the night.
I just received my tree huggers and whoopie slings, one problem the slings are about 30cm in length? And dont make sense at all, do I feed my own cord through it or is the whole thing one package?
