I'm a classically-trained keyboardist and film composer, so I know what it takes to perform and produce these covers. Then there's the fact that Chicago is among my 5 most favorite bands and the fact that "Hard to Say I'm Sorry" is 1 of my favorite Chicago songs! I ran into Leonid & Friends by happy coincidence while checking out Chicago songs performed by the band itself and cover bands (thank you, RU-vid algorithms). I was amazed by the careful recreation of the original arrangements, the passionate and amazing performances by Leonid & Friends, and the excellent production quality! Leonid, I know it takes a lot of time to transcribe these arrangements, produce, mix, master, and complete video editing. I suspect that it's a labor of love. I, for one, greatly appreciate all or your hard work and appreciate your bringing together this amazing group of musicians to perform and produce these covers! As I have looked around RU-vid for Chicago songs performed by the band itself, I have had a hard time finding versions of their songs performed by them using current recording technology. You all come the closest that I have found to faithful renderings of Chicago songs, but bonus, using modern recording and video technology. BRAVO!

Their cover of Fantasy by Earth, Wind & Fire is indistiguishable from the original. This cover is actually the least great of all their covers I've heard so far. But that is a massively high bar. It's just so hard to go toe to toe with Peter Cetera.

I just saw L&F 3 weeks ago and the real Chicago last week (11/4/2021) at the MGM Casino near Cleveland, OH. I've said it before on these L&F videos and I'll say it again: it's one thing for Peter Cetera and the rest of Chicago to write and arrange this song (and all their songs) from scratch. But when you consider what Leonid Vorobyev did here: he listened to the record, on his stereo or headphones, and proceeded to break down each individual instrument and vocal and harmony part individually, then transcribe those parts by hand on to sheet music using long hand music notation, then assemble the best musicians he could find, then show them and teach them the music and arrangement on each DIFFERENT instrument, and have everyone sing in near perfect English when it's not even their second or third language....... absolutely amazing job and a project for all these songs that surely took months if not years to finalize. Just think about it. You're listening to a song on your stereo and then you want to set out to write out the music of every part just from your ear.

These guys are stunningly incredible. Except for Peter Cetera having a uniquely recognizable voice, this sounds IDENTICAL to the studio version. Incredible. Oh, and the female vocalist is gorgeous. :)

No one can match Cetera. No one. His voice is silky smooth. The horns were excellent on this. And guitar was better on this one than 25 or 6 to 4. But he still impressed me on that one too.

I cant stop watching all of Leonid and Friends videos showcasing all the greatest hits of Chicago and more! I grew up with Chicago, I remember in the late 70's driving down Alki Beach in my 1963 Chevy SS and have Saturday In The Park blasting away! Leonid and all his friends are beyond being talented, They are truly the greatest cover band in the 21st Century!

Leonid is a master of covering the very difficult to recreate songs of Chicago. Again, absolutely perfect vocals, horns and strings. And when the beat picks up for Get Away, the whole band is rockin and 100% in sync. Leonid you do AMAZING work, no doubt about it. Your covers could EASILY be mistaken for the originals they are SO well done. BRAVO!

So my dream finally came through. I had to drive over 700 miles but I got to see Leonid and Friends in person in Shipshewana, Indiana. They were FANTASTIC. Now, I’ve got to find another concert closer to Atlanta. Love them all.

I feel very fortunate and blessed to have seen Chicago in concert in Pittsburgh in 1982. My girlfriend and I were seated 6 rows from the stage in lounge chairs as Peter Cetera and crew sang this song live for one of the first times. The band were all dressed in white karate robes and headbands to promote Karate Kid. Unbelievable experience. Many thanks to Leonid and Friends for reigniting great memories with a spot-on performance.

Well... I was already speechless but at 4.03 I could hardly believe my ears... I was sitting fairly comfortably on my sofa and I had to replay it at least 5 more times to allow myself to accept that this is real... the quality and level this is at is too much to explain. As a late 1960's teen/youth I heard Chicago live several times in concert. You guys rock! Closest thing to the real bands sets I've ever heard. Keep on playing guys, it's a great sound and the orchestra pieces are choice and so superb.

Просто нужно закончить сначала муз.школу, училище, консерваторию. Фанатично слушать западные группы. И не слушать по TV пропагандонов Симоньян, Скабееву и особенно Осло/вьёБа 😢 А так же всяких там Лепса, да Газмановых. И вы сразу сбросите про-путинскую ядовитую шелуху.

I grew up playing sax and clarinet in elementary and junior high orchestras and stage bands. When BS&T and Chicago came on the scene, we wanted to be them. (Then I found a guitar in high school and woodwinds went out the door.) Leonid & Friends fulfills the dream. In particular, this medley piece is just smashing technically. I like to come back here for frequent visits.

VOCALS... rallentando, added trumpet fanfare, FRENCH HORN, Strings... Harmonies... Piano, KORG Bass, Guitar, I missed the brass stylings (pinches and bends) at first, but I got over it on the second listening... you made it your own, but honored all of the ear candy that I loved about the original... ARRANGEMENT was fabulous. Thank you again... It's like Christmas when you drop a new (old) one... IGOR ))))))))))))))))))

As others have stated, if you are a musician or singer, you really gain an appreciation for how good these folks are. The attention to detail in these performances is meticulous.
