What people don't realize and need to put more attention is how she's literally at the start of puberty!!! It's so alarming and at this stage you need to put more attention on yourself than having to perform as an idol. 13 is the usual age people start to notice and develop physical and mental changes, and being an idol can very much heavily affect her badly.

Seriously, guys, we need to protect these kids. The entertainment industry is known everywhere for the abuse that goes on behind the scenes, SHE'S 13 BRO, and i'm two years older than her and want to be an idol/performer too but I'm waiting til I'm 18, so I definitely understand wanting to pursue that dream. But I know that it's not the safest job, the hate coming from all directions, low self-esteem, eating disorders, abuse in all forms, and mental illnesses that are unimaginable for me. I can only see the young idols who debuted throughout years, Hyein from NJ(14 at debut) Eunchae (15 at debut) Jungkook (15 at debut) Taemin (15 at debut) and so, so, so many more. Not just in K-pop, either Justin Bieber debuted at 13, and Ariana Grande at 15, and Beyonce at 16, and the youngest I've seen Michael Jackson at 5 YEARS OLD. We need to protect the kids and make the industry SAFE for everyone.
You should also blame the parents along with these kpop companies, because the parents are letting their barley teenage children audition for these kpop companies or competitions to debut in a kpop group

2. SOOO TRUEE!!! That's why I believe these "easy listening" songs (not entirely) are for those who don't have artistry. If you want to stay for a long time in the industry, you need to create an identity with not just concepts but music which kpop group lack these days. And most of the time the chorus will be the title name of song x10000
People who call kpop songs as noise music has never heard of actual noise music (Grindcore, Goregrind, Breakcore, Death Metal, Noisecore, Cybergrind, Speedcore, Black Metal etc). Heck, there's even a genre called Harsh Noise Wall.

3. lol I so 100% agree. people are like "Oh NMIXX is so talented if only JYP give them better songs" like the songs are good. I can literally just play any song while cleaning my house and it's getting the job done. I can do any house chores and gain a sudden boost of energy during change ups. it's so fun being productive for once lol.
I hate the direction kpop is going in. like most of the songs feel like they are made for TikTok. And the chorus is just one word being repeated over and over again. Its really not fun to listen those songs for a long time.
I can't believe why teenagers are allowed to debut. 13!! And a girl. ... The harsh schedules have long term health impacts... Physical and mental... The dieting, Marketing, social exposure... All of it. It also affects period health, fertility, lacking normal education and childhood... Leading to more tendencies for suicide after a certain age
I'm with you about the short songs. First, the outros with the high notes and adlibs went away, then bridges and now verses are basically nonexistent. It's so disappointing
I don't mind a song under 3 mins as long as it sounds really good. I heard great songs that were under 3 mins...some songs I had turned on repeat button.
Short songs exist because their main point is to get that virality. You see how popular NJ, LSM, Illit, ive & idle are?? They are short, always upbeat paired with surface level repetitive lyrics & empty repetitive chorus. A shorter song mostly consists of 1st verse, pre chorus chorus, 2nd verse, chorus & then the outro. They focus on the beat & over simplistic vocals & repetitive chorus in order to get the listeners hooked. Shorter songs are slowly becoming the norm in kpop compared to before having 3-5 minute duration.
The noise music one I agree with SO MUCH.. Like bae, wdym Dun Dun by everglow is noise music? Or am I going deaf ?? It's like the term is losing its meaning like...and most of the time? it's heavy EDM mixed with a tiny bit of extra beats and of course a side dish of experimentation. And DO NAWT make me laugh, Kpop "Noise music" is WAYYYY off from actual noise music. If anything, I did research and ooh chile...actual noise music isn't my cup of tea.. (it was horrific actually .. who am I lying to, I think my ears bled a lil bit😭) If anything, "Noise music" is bringing more diversity and creativity in kpop, but then again. People were silent when it came to groups like 2NE1 and Girls Generation.. !! We're slowly but surely pushing boundaries in kpop and expanding it in different varieties, there are some good experimental songs that actually SLAP and sometimes through all that clashing and banging, theres actually a hidden message !! (Cough cough: Stray Kids...) But even if you do like loud tracks, in my book I think you got some good taste !! Noise music is something I like to dance to, its fun, crazy, and always gets me hyped up but thats just me.

Sad thing is, she's probably been training since she was 7 to 9 which is why she debuted now. The thing is, parents don't even stop their kids from audiotioning most of the time. This wouldnt be a problem if parents cared for their kids and these companies left little kids alone. But at the end of the day, we need to remember that kpop companies are factories and are gonna pump out groups as fast as they can

Well, let me give an example for an idol CEO.Idols like Baekhyun, D.O, Lay actually had no other option to open their own company, after years of exploitation and knowing industry, they know it will be hard for other companies to manage idols with that big of scale, They just don’t trust anyone, plus, they also want to be with EXO. Which unfortunately won’t be possible if they sign other companies because of legal complications and of course SM also gave them one choice, Open your company or leave EXO. But I do agree, Idols shouldn’t be the company owners, especially if they should not handle other groups , business is nasty. I just don’t want idols to do nasty things, it eventually ruins their reputation, they made for years, like Rain🤷♀️.

Unis is an amazing group. Every member is talanted but my biggest issue is their young age like it feels weird for a 30 years old adult(me) to stan a 13 years old. It just feel so uncomfortable 😂😂
Well, I don't see the problem of Idols being CEOs. It's not that they made the decision in a day. Some are doing quite well. Also so far, they're qualified, having degrees/masters in business. Some even have PHD.

I might have listened to the full songs (start to finish) for 5 days but I've never listened to them again after that, nor had the wish to. Yes it might be my music taste but I think these songs as the ones that may grab attention temporarily, but they lack the timeless quality or innovation that keeps listeners coming back. The decline of timeless tracks within albums is apparent. The songs might be popular on TikTok but I could never get myself to play the song because it just feels very meh and disoriented.
Debuting minors (sadly) have always been happening in kpop. BoA debuted in SM in 2000, first gen, at the same age as Seowon debuted in F&F with UNIS in 2024, fifth gen

I wonder when you talk about minors debuting do you also think about it outside of kpop. I know a lot of people now a days talk about minors debuting in kpop but what about all artist in the usa who were minors. Every big star was underaged when they first got in the industrie and it's not a kpop thing. Isn't this just something that happens worldwide and something everyone knows about both artist/idols and fans. And maybe the change for this should start outside of kpop because kpop is known for being influenced by america. So as long as minors are the most popular artist in the west I don't thing we will see an change in kpop either.
I agree. I looked at the debut ages of certain western artists. Justin Bieber was signed to a record company at fifteen. Justin Timberlake debuted in his group at fourteen. Taylor Swift debuted at the age of sixteen. Heck, Kanye West's daughter North West, who is ten years old, announced her debut. Also, if people listened to Taylor Swift and the two Justins when they debuted but are saying something about minors debuting in K-Pop, then they are hypocrites. (Note- I am aware that there are probably more Western artists who debuted as minors.)

When it comes to kids i dont see the problem, literally there's a thing called child stars, actors casted at a very young age like literally 5 or less, 13 is good and its to train them so they get use to the lifestyle and get past the hard stuff quicker cuz they already used to the lifestyle as they get older and they grow up wth their band members which creates a closer relationship among them. So tbh i don't see the negativity of it...
